Great product, I've been using shark hoovers for over 10 years and this is the best one yet. Looks smart, is light so makes it easy to hoover around the house and the auto empty is effortless. The power is great as it detects dirt levels, different floor surfaces and edges adjusting the suction and power as you go. Then once you're done, pop it on the doc to auto empty and charge. I've only used the hoover for about 20 minutes at a time, so I've not experienced any drops in power and it charges on the doc until full then stops charging. The doc itself is really easy to empty and the hoover is simple to strip if you get any build ups in certain parts of the device. I would highly recommend, worth the money in my opinion and if like any of my last devices will stand the test of time.

Bought the Shark Detect Pro Cordless Vacuum with the 1.3L Auto-Empty System and overall it’s a great little vacuum. First off, it’s light. Really easy to manoeuvre, comfortable to use, and doesn’t feel like you’re doing a workout every time you clean. Suction is strong for its size, and it genuinely picks up more than you expect. The dirt detection and automatic power adjustment work surprisingly well. You can feel it ramp up when it hits heavier debris, which is a nice touch and makes it feel properly “smart.” The auto-empty system is brilliant in theory — and mostly in practice. It’s very satisfying not having to manually empty the dust cup every time. However, the design isn’t perfect. There’s a flap mechanism that sometimes flips up and blocks part of the dirt flow when clearing, which can cause it to get slightly stuck. The magnetic closure on the base can also get clogged occasionally, meaning it doesn’t always close properly when lifting the vacuum back off. Not a dealbreaker, but something to keep an eye on. The bend in the floor head is fairly narrow too, so it can block more easily if you’re picking up fluff or larger debris. That said — once you get used to its quirks and know what to watch for, it’s a genuinely powerful and convenient vacuum. I bought this to use in my holiday home as I didn't need a big bulky vacuum. I am pleasantly surprised how effective it is. It has lots if power and cleans right up to the edges. The auto empty system is amazing. I'm now thinking it would work well in my house. The only minor concern is, the battery doesn't last long on high power mode, like 15mins. The normal mode is ideal for big areas but for edges and more fiddly areas, the high power suction makes it easier. I guess I will get used to it in time.

I love my new Shark! I was fed up with trying to empty bins and filters on my previous machines but this makes it so easy. You park the vacuum on its charging base and WHOOSH! All the fluff and dust gets automatically sucked into the bottom bin which I’ve only had to empty once so far, and that’s also incredibly easy to empty. You don’t have to take the whole thing to pieces to clean filters either as there are little doors to open. The light is very bright but only comes on if the vacuum detects a dark space and it detects when you’re cleaning edges and puts extra power into that edge. The motor revving up and slowing down when it detects dirtier areas is a bit disconcerting at first as you think there’s something wrong but I quickly got used to it. The suction is powerful when you need it and less when you don’t and the lights on the front and handle tell you when the area is clean. If you are sick of emptying the bin all the time on your vacuum, get this!

Where to start, storage you will need enough space for this in your kitchen to be plugged in all the time. The cleaner it self is light very good suction and very easy to manoeuvre around things. Would not pay full price for this so bought it on a good offer. Very easy to set up and use. Now the battery life, hands down the worst battery ever made, I don’t understand why they would make such a great vacuum cleaner with all these sensors and mod cons and lights then stick the worst ever made battery in it. I’ve followed all the instructions and even tried leaf mode on a full charge and I’m lucky to get 12 minutes out of it so where they get 60 minutes from is beyond me. It’s such a shame as the vacuum itself is amazing, sadly going to have to contact Shark to see what they say, maybe a duff battery but I don’t really want to send it back but might have to if the battery power remains the same. Would have given this 5 stars if the battery even lasted 30 minutes. Shame.

Impressed with this Hoover! So much better job of doing flat wooden floors! It’s light weight too - which is great for me! Easy to push round. Love the emptying station it lives on and stays fully charged for when you next need it. The different functions are helpful depending where you are hoovering. The battery doesn’t last long enough on the top setting for the whole house though (3 Bed Semi). Apart from that it’s perfect for us.

Started off great but very quickly went down hill. The concept of the hoover is brilliant but it constantly gets blocked even though I don’t hoover up anything big. Tried hoovering up some talcum powder, that was a big mistake. It hates powder and I had to put it on the stand to empty about 20 times just to collect a little powder. When it gets blocked it spits everything half way across the room. When you put it on the holder and it empties, it doesn’t empty everything, the little door that opens, doesn’t close itself like it should so when you take it off the stand, anything left inside just falls everywhere. It only picks up what it wants to pick up, it doesn’t like grass which is a pain in the warmer months and the kids playing In the garden then bringing grass through the house. It would actually be quicker getting on your hands and knees and picking up every strand of grass than it would trying to hoover it. I can’t return as it only gave me a month to return. Not worth the money at all
