Most vests are neon yellow and have 1-2 strips of reflective tape material. Better than nothing, but this vest is on another level. THIS vest is completely reflective! The entire vest is made of reflective material. It is vastly better than a normal vest. Pros: - VERY reflective. - Drivers who approach you often turn off their high beams (because the reflective vest is so bright; it gets brighter if the driver uses high beams.) - I feel MUCH safer wearing this - Could be used as additional layer (windbreaker) in cool weather (see Cons) Cons: - NOT neon color (so only wear this when it's dark, NOT during the day. This is common sense, so not really a 'con'. If it's partially light outside, I wear a normal yellow vest since the neon color helps visibility in sunlight.) - Poor ventilation (gets hot) The material does have small holes, but it quite 'solid' compared to normal, lightweight running/walking vests. In the summer, I wear this vest only (no shirt) because it has little ventilation. This is a trade-off for getting such a bright vest. I tried taking photos to demonstrate just how reflective this vest is, but my camera simply can't capture how intense it is! On camera, it shows up as a big blob of glare, when I shine a flashlight ight at it, let alone car headlights. My wife has driven past me at night, and was amazed at how bright it is. I wear a normal neon color reflective vest during the day or during low light. But if I'm going to be running, walking or cycling in THE DARK, I wear this vest, 100% of the time. Not only do I feel safer, car drivers see me much sooner, so they have more time to react and move over or slow down. This is safe and courteous for drivers. It is so bright that it 'blows out ' my camera. This photo is the only one that worked. This was taken inside my house with the overhead lights on. I had the camera flash on to get a little bit of light reflecting. The background appears black only because the vest is SO BRIGHT it 'washed out' everything else in the photo. My only wish is they made a lightweight version for hot weather, as this does not breath very well. I also handle the vest gently, especially if hand-washing it. Over time (like any reflective material) it does start to fade. If you bend it, stretch it, scratch it or wash in the washing machine, it wears out faster. So, I hand rinse it, do NOT squeeze or wring it out, and air dry it. I normally wear a medium shirt, but I have this vest in SMALL so it does not bounce or flop around while running. The small is a bit snug, but that's what I wanted. This is my second time owning this, and I will likely get it again if/when this one wears out.

WOW. I bought this vest to add safety to my evening rides in the dark here in the North East. WOW, does this vest make you visible at night. I first bought the Large thinking I needed to size up to fit it over my winter biking coat, but Large was too big. So I exchanged it for a Medium and it fits perfectly over any cycling jacket I own. I keep it in my bike bag for my commute home from the office at night. I ride in a very urban and dense area for 8 miles and cars have commented that my whole torso lights up when they approach me. Exactly what I was hoping for. Does not work as well during dusk. It really needs to be dark

I got the vest tonight, i went for a walk but curiousity overwhelmed me, How far can they see me in advance so they don't need to shine their brights at me the entire approach. I put the vest on a hanger and put a screw into a telephone pole and hung the vest on it. Then i got in the van and did a u-turn and approached after i reset the trip odometer shortly after it his .2 miles i could clearly see the vest shiny white and all glowy. I could see it before then but not as an object that might be on a person. at 1/8 mile it was like a hollywood billboard sign. No worries on the Visibility, 1/4 steady. I did the test on 2 more poles along my walking route to be sure, same. The vest is so lightweight i barely noticed it being on and very breathable, i didn't sweat any more or less than before. the Velcro dots are in the right place for my body build on the outside. the fabric didn't rub my skin either. I tried to do a cell phone picture but it doesn't do any justice, Live in Person it's the real deal. Bright! Shipping wise, got it in 3 days as promised, Fit beautifully. Go ahead and get one, it delivers on it's promises. Enjoy !

It was time to replace a 20 year formerly reflectorized vest. I wasn't impressed until I saw the light reflect off it in a mirror. Lit up like a Christmas Tree!!

Gift for my husband to wear running and cross country skiing as it gets dark out early this time of year. Light weight, very reflective, fits easily and comfortably over any layers. Not meant for warmth, but safety. Good value too!

It is minimal, but works well. Lightweight, and a little delicate, but stuffs down well. Great visibility at night, mornings, and even decent in day. It is a little difficult to get on and off because the Velcro pulls at the elastic fabric, so I have to be careful not to tear it. I find that removing a single Velcro side and slipping I over my head works best. I would prefer clips to take it on and off over Velcro. I may just take Velcro strips and sew them to clips, and Velcro those to the vest. That way I can just unclip each side and pull it over head without having to be careful or adjust it every time. The manufacturer responded fast, and was quick to offer support. Really nice to see. Excellent overall value. Similar vests cost 4x as much for similar quality.

I am using the vest riding in the dark. The vest has great reflective qualities. I also run in the dark but it feels a little too heavy to run in. I am really happy with the purchase I would purchase again. The fit is good and adjustable if need be.

Great for running but not for motorcycle driving
