This is virtually silent on full load! Bliss.
I use this to cool an AMD Ryzen 7 2700x and this cooler stays virtually silent even when I run benchmarking applications putting the processor under full synthetic loads. Temperature under load has hit a 68 degrees maximum for me which is fantastic. The first time I turned the PC on with this attached I didn’t think the PC was on, I thought I mis-pressed the power button so turned round and the PC is on and to my amazement no noise whatsoever. It’s a big cooler but fits perfectly in my Corsair 280x RGB case. The mounting instructions aren’t the best in the world but a bit of common sense will see you through. For AM4 sockets you have to remove the motherboard backplate, screw the new backplate included with the cooler on, mount the brackets to the cooler itself and the screw that to the motherboard. Took about 30 mins once I had figured it out. It even comes with included thermal paste. The look of it too is so much better than any other cooler out there in my opinion, and has similar results to most AIO coolers without the hassle of radiator mounting. A must buy.

Great cooler but not easy to fit
Before buying this cooler, reading the reviews put me off in the beginning. The issues pertaining to the tricky installation of Dark Rock coolers were both truth and urban myth. I bit the bullet regardless and picked up a deal on Amazon warehouse. To say I am pleased with the cooler is understatement. I had liquid AIO coolers before, a few of them. Disbelieving air could be as good as water. As testing shows, in a well planned airflow case, a few degrees difference don't matter and going air was the best thing I did. Just Dark Rock installation was a pain to fit. The only bad point is the fitting, had I been able to do this with the motherboard in situ within the case, it would have been a godsend. However taking the motherboard out, fitting nuts and bolts with tint spanners felt going backwards rather than forward tech. But as it sits in the case, its Thermal Grizzly paste keeping temps a few degrees lower, I will not need to replace the paste or move the cooler for a couple of years. The upright facing fan fits the build great and pushes air down to cool the motherboard as a bonus. WThe other good plan by Dark Rock, was ito provide mounts for the old 1366 socket, which meant my overclocked 6 core i7, has a couple more years left before its retirement. This cooler allowed it to keep cool actually well over its projected 225 TDP. So hopefully Dark Rock will improve mounting applications on new products. In the meantime the TF is a great cooler for the money and in more restrictive case builds. Just be prepared to have patience and a degree of time to fit it properly.

Poor Customer Services from Be Quiet!
Very quiet and efficient once installed on an i9 processor. The mounting is laborious, as widely commented upon, but works well once mastered. As an item, I am glad I purchased this. Along with my Be Quiet case and power supply, my PC is literally inaudible. The main issue is if you need to deal with BeQuiet customer services. My initial package (factory sealed) was missing the 4 metal clips which hold the fans to the fins. I contacted Amazon, whose customer service levels are always worthy of 5 stars, and said I would rather not waste the resources to return the entire item just for 4 small pieces of metal. Amazon got in touch with Be Quiet directly and even called me with them on the line in order to resolve the issue. I was told by Be Quiet to submit the form on their website for the parts. 4 days after submitting the form, they got back to me and suggested I needed to pay £10 for these parts (the parts they neglected to include, without which the item is useless). I contacted Amazon and they had a new whole item with me in under 24 hours for free, which contained the clips. It is a premium product, but their idea of liability and customer services leaves a great deal to be desired!

Very quiet and efficient
Lowered temps on my fx8350 from 68 degrees to 48 degrees, almost silent. Disconcerting when you are used to a fan that sounds like a jet engine. Had to do some bios adjustments as fan tics over slower than a normal fan. Mounting it is a bit tricky and took maybe 30 minutes to do. It is very large also so make sure you have room for it. All in all very pleased.

Great cooling performance for compact systems
Needed a powerful air cooler for a compact system which fits the AM4 socket, keeps my cpu at around 34 degrees celsius on idle and around 65-75 overclocked under full load with very little fan noise, also provides great airflow for the RAM and VRM's, the mounting system is quite fiddly to set up but nothing too bad, would highly recommend if you are looking for a powerful air cooler but don't have the height for a full tower cooler, just make sure you have enough space for it over the RAM and top PCIE slot.

Dark rock pro 4 still a better cooler.
Not too complicated to put all together but would be easier and avoid cuts or scratches to the fins if fans already installed. Tried in 3 different motherboards, b350-f, b450f and x570-f, all from Asus. The cooler doesn't allow much room for memory slots, forcing the side of the first slot, to a 5 degrees angle. Not advised for long term. Performance was good, but not any better for the VRM and M.2 slots than a typical tower cooler, reason why I wrongly tried the blowing over the circuit design.

but I'd recommend orientating it so the main heatpipes face towards your ...
Takes some time to figure out how to install it but well worth it, before you start make sure to check the orientation of graphics cards and where your hard drives are located as the top of the heatsink will cause you some agro rather than the heatpipes. This doesn't seem to have any probs with clearance, but I'd recommend orientating it so the main heatpipes face towards your graphics card... Pay attention to the exclusion zone around the CPU and that nothing is encroaching it,... I wouldn't recommend using this on a mATX system as you will want enough room between the pipes and your graphics card so it will take the case 2nd slot away from your CPU and not the first which I think is likely to be too close for comfort. Anyway great cooler :)

Knocked about 15dB off the noise from my computer
Package arrived like it was about to be dropped onto Mars, so decent condition (and ahead of schedule). The packaging contains everything for both Intel and AMD mountings, although the instructions could have been a little better in design being quite difficult to identify which screw and which way up brackets went (YouTube is your friend in this instance!). Mounting is a little odd in that you have to screw it in from the back of the motherboard (I have a TT Tower 900 case, so not a problem for me, but for smaller computers, if a replacement for your current fan, you may need to remove the motherboard to perform this action). In performance, I had taken a reading with the case closed and idle was around 26-30dB, once the new fan was installed, with the case still open the noise level hovered around the 20dB level and is quieter still with the case closed. With the thermals, on idle, temperature of by (old) 1800X (AMD Ryzen) chip was slightly below 30 degrees (with the stock AMD fan it was slightly above), and when under load, it barely made it to 50 degrees (with the stock fan it was around 55 degrees). I would totally recommend this product, but would suggest that you check out the BeQuiet site to ensure that the cooler fits your motherboard, as it's so large and bulky; if you have the RAM close to the CPU socket then it may not make it! - but the BeQuiet site said this one would be perfect). Very happy with the BeQuiet fans, probably going to replace the 3 case fans now to silence things even further...

have a case with an exhaust on top to help hot air!
love it. removed around 5-10c depending on situation from my Ryzen 3800x compared to the Wraith cooler. it's also good that it pushes air to the board it helps my VRM's and my NVME (no heat-sink) to stay cool in the system installation took me a few minutes more than i want to admit i'm far from an expert but i did it pretty easily and it seated itself pretty nicely. the reason why i stressed the Exhaust on top of case is because this cooler does not send air directly through the back. it pushes to the board which requires either stronger fans in the front or a top Exhaust to let hot air naturally go out. but overall even with my bad airflow case it does a job it can be very proud of, my 3800X would never go over 4.1ghz before even in idle and now i see 4.425ghz all the time so it's doing it's job like a champ!

Perfecto
