Handy Monopod – Lightweight and Travel-Friendly
Picked up the Manbily 5-section monopod for travel and casual photography, and it does the job nicely. Extends up to 170cm, so you can get decent height shots without straining, and the aluminium build keeps it light enough to carry around all day. The little feet at the bottom help a bit with stability, but don’t expect it to be rock-solid – you still need a steady hand. Locking sections are easy to use, though the twist locks can feel a bit stiff at first. Good for travel, hiking, or casual photography, but don’t expect it to replace a proper tripod. Overall, a solid, lightweight option that won’t break the bank.

Good product
Good item. The tubes are small diameter but strong enough for canon r100 size camera with 55 / 250 lens The top two tubes were locked very tight and I had to use a tool to loosen them but they work fine now. The three legs at the bottom open and lock easily and securely unlike the Benbo one where the legs don't stay locked.

Support for you and your camera
I’ve always found a monopod useful for steadying a camera without the hassle of carrying a tripod with me. This one is a sturdy construction without being heavy. It doesn’t have a quick release fitting but generally they are cumbersome, it’s quick enough to just screw the stick into the camera (or lens). It also comes with a stand so that it will serve light duties as a tripod if it’s not windy. It’s also useful for your own support particularly on steep grassy slopes. All in all a great piece of kit at a modest price

Great value for money.
Well built and light enough to carry all day, the fold out feet help with stability and can be used as a table top tripod when detached from the main column.

Nice pole, shame about the feet size
Very nice quality for the money but would not stand up by itself with a Nikon Z6111 mounted on the pole with feet out. Wider feet will have helped.

An excellent budget boom pole alternative
I actually bought this for a slightly unconventional purpose. Rather than using it as a monopod, I use it as a boom pole for recording audio with my shotgun microphone, and it's worked surprisingly well. The biggest advantage is the length. It extends far enough for me to position the microphone close to my subject while keeping it out of shot, yet collapses down small enough to fit easily into my kit bag when travelling. Despite not being designed specifically as a boom pole, it's lightweight enough to hold for extended periods and feels reassuringly rigid when fully extended. I've used it on a number of shoots and haven't found it to flex excessively or feel unstable. The twist locks are easy to operate and hold each section securely, so I can adjust the length quickly without worrying about it collapsing while in use. Although it includes folding feet for use as a monopod, I rarely use those as my primary purpose is audio recording. Instead, I've found it to be a very cost-effective alternative to buying a dedicated boom pole, especially if you only need one occasionally. For anyone looking for a lightweight, extendable pole for supporting a microphone, this is well worth considering. It has performed far better than I expected, and it's become a regular part of my audio kit alongside my Sony FX30 and Zoom F8n Pro setup.

A decent piece of kit...
I have some quality hardware, high end DSLR, video camera, Benbo Trekker tripod etc. Historically I've also owned a brand name monopod. I've only had this one a short while, but it looks and feels solidly made. I'm not convinced by the tripod feet adapter and swivel joint......I wouldn't trust my camera or binoculars to those free standing, but if you're maintaining a handhold, then ok. The phone holder....cant see the point. The swap out of spike or rubber foot work ok for me, the latter especially as (with monopod at minimum height) the rubber foot can be wedged into trouser belt and I'm a stable bipod! It's solid yet lightweight, good locking grips and I think decent for the price.

Perfect for my needs.
I use this at least 4 times a week and it’s brilliant. ( I have a Nikon dslr) easy to extend and collapse, lightweight, versatile and just great! I have a proper tripod but I use this monopod over the tripod 98% of the time.
