I have used Rustin's wood dyes for a very long time. They never fail to do a brilliant job. It brings Wood surfaces to life, especially when doin restoration work.

Easy to apply but required several coats to get the depth of colour required. Though to be fair it was a light colored wood stock.

I based my choice of wood stain based on the quality of Rustins wood filler This didn't meet my expectations of a wood dye. It was very pale and hardly made any difference to the teak or bare wood, despite applying several layers. Overall poor quality and limited effectiveness.

Stained the handlebar of a naxe with it, as I wanted a darker hue. On light colour wood it gives this deep reddish brown tone, very much like teak. It stains very quickly and in a couple passes it is done. Dries quickly and had the job done in less than an hour. Looked quite natural highlighting the grain of the wood.

This was exactly what I wanted a wood product to add some colour to my bench. It soaked in very well to the wood and has made the tired looking bench is 100% better looking. Going to buy more so that I can give it another paint at the end of the year before I cover it for the winter

Top value and quality. Easy to apply. Great coverage, colouring and penetration. Recommended from someone who worked for a wood finishing company for nearly 20 years.

Not as good as it used to be, but that goes with most things. The old tin I have covers a lot better so it seems like is been watered down.
