This is a really good map-reading compass and also useful for teaching bearings in GCSE maths
Context: I tutor GCSE maths students. Many of my students have difficulty with bearings and angles in general. This is a very well-made and easy-to-use compass. It is inexpensive and has very clear markings. The bezel turns smoothly. It is very easy to read since both the raised lip and the base have marks, so you can eliminate parallax errors. It is the perfect teaching aid. The compass needle agrees with my Silva map-reading compass to better than 2 degrees. So it's accurate enough for orienteering or rough map reading when you're out and about. Highly recommended.

Great item
This is my back up, off to the mountains soon

Nice compass but needed to be held flat to work
Did the job but orientation needle got stuck when not held flat. Not a huge issue normally but when you are in a rush on uneven terrain it became a problem

It points North.
Its a compass. It points to the north. It is usable in many countries. It points to the north in Europe, the America's, Australia, Asia and many others. If you need to find north anywhere in the world this will do it.

Well made, detailed, cheap and reliable
the pointer is very well magnetised and doesn't bounce about, finding north fast, and the finely placed bearings and measurements with adjustable dial makes this a very complete compass without having to splash out on anything more.

Silva for a third of the price?
Almost identical to my military Silva {degrees not mils} and a third of the price..... but it's early days, and I do not expect it to last like my Silva did, but I can't find it - hence the purchase. Good enough for day to day map work and a cheap way into orientation, both the sport and the skill. This will only get occasional and not heavy use, otherwise I would have paid the extra and gone for the real thing, a Silva.

Its a cheap compass which will probably do the job
Just for hillwalking around UK this should do the job as a cheap compass easy to read what extras are really needed

Ideal for all travels
I brought this for my mountain walking hike. Only needed to use twice but was a great requirement at the time.
