These are so much nicer than the paint brush style I used to use. Way easier to clean.

I bought these silicone basting brushes to use when cooking on the BBQ, and they’ve been a really useful addition to my outdoor cooking accessories. They’re a good size to comfortably brush marinades, sauces and glazes onto meat, and the flexible silicone bristles spread the sauce evenly without leaving streaks or shedding bristles like traditional brushes sometimes can. One feature I particularly like is that the brushes come in two different colours. It makes it easy to keep one brush for sweeter sauces and the other for savoury marinades, helping to avoid mixing flavours. The handles feel sturdy and comfortable to hold, and the silicone bristles are soft enough to coat food evenly while still being firm enough to pick up a good amount of sauce. They’re also heat resistant, making them ideal for use around the BBQ. After using them, they washed up easily with no staining or lingering smells, and they still look like new. Overall, these are simple but well-made kitchen tools that do exactly what they’re designed to do. I’d happily recommend them for BBQs, baking or everyday cooking.

I use these to spread cooking oil onto baking sheets or frying pans, as I find aerosol oils wasteful and not needed in most applications, and pump spritz nozzles always clog up on me. These brushes work beautifully for this purpose. I've also used them to baste meat or to spread a bit of melted butter the top of a freshly baked loaf of bread for that golden sheen. So far, I've experienced no bristle deterioration, no melting, and no downside to using these. They clean up well in the dishwasher and don't retain water in any hidden recess. Would recommend.
