Sweese 15 OZ Porcelain Tea Mug with Infuser and Lid, Loose Leaf Tea Cup, Gifts for Tea Lover, Purple

First, I love Sweese products! I am building a set of white Sweese dinnerware. Love that it has no lead, as well as this mug. While I purchased the mug for tea, after my coffeemaker broke, I began exploring alternatives to plastic for making coffee. The stainless steel alternatives are expensive. I decided to experiment using my new Sweese tea mug with the stainless steel infuser. By golly! It worked beautifully, and as it turns out, others are doing the same. It's much like a french press....without the press...AND without having to clean up that mess. The stainless steel infuser cleans easily. Just be sure to use medium to coarse ground coffee (coarse being better, athough I had very little sludge with my regular grind).

Nice, large mug and good tea strainer. The lid is a plus while steeping tea in the mug. Pretty color too! This is the second one I ordered for a gift and it is so nice I will be ordering it again.

I ordered the Sweese Teacup with the infuser and lid to replace my current infuser. The set came well wrapped and protected in the box. The porcelain cup and lid had no hairline or spider cracking and is the 15 oz. is perfect size for my tea. The stainless steel infuser fits perfectly in the cup and has adequate room to allow the tea leaves to expand which results in a more flavorful cup of tea. The extra fine strainer allowed the water to steep through to the tea leaves and when I drained it, all the tea leaves stayed in the strainer. It is easy to use and cleaning it was a breeze....just needed to tip the used tea leaves into my compost, gave it a quick wash and it was ready to go! (It is also dishwasher safe). The lid was also handy to hold the infuser. Although I have only used the infuser in the cup I got it with, it also fits in many of the other mugs I have and because it is reusable, I will be able to use it for decades! I consider myself a tea enthusiast. I prefer to buy loose tea leaves instead of tea bags packaged with preservatives. For all the reasons, I highly recommend this set!

My favorite mug ever. Perfect size and beautiful color. This is a great mug if you enjoy drinking loose leaf tea like me. It keeps my drinks hot since it’s a nice thick mug, and the price is worth it. Make sure to handle these carefully though, they are fragile!

Pretty cup and well packaged. So it makes absolutely no sense to me that their in an identation/ding about 1/3 way up and all these other impurities. Not quite scratches, more than smeares. Like a combo of both. Added a star because I just received my replacement mug which is in better condition. Only has a small chip missing in the lid. So that is a small white dot with no color but better then the last one they sent me.

I purchased these for a fun Christmas morning gift exchange so we can drink hot nostalgic beverages while the kiddos open their presents. When the mugs arrived, I inspected them and then tucked them away, but their brilliant colors and infusion basket kept beckoning me to try one out before Christmas - so I did. WOW! I love this mug. You have to understand I am a coffee person in the morning and tea person in the evening, so I didn't think I'd like this mug because I prefer a "one mug does it all" mug, but to my surprise --- YES! YES! YES! You can "brew/steep" coffee in the infuser. I now have a new favorite mug (and down one Christmas present!). So here's my review: The colors are brilliant and pop! And, boy, the spectacular array of colors offered! The colors are even with no "fades" or flaws in the ceramic paint, and the cursive Sweese logo is on the underside of the mug. The infuser holes appear to be laser cut, so they are needle-point tiny, which means the coffee grounds do NOT flow thru when steeping your coffee or tea leaves The walls of the mug are thick (but not too thick) so that it keeps your beverage nice and hot so you can sip it and enjoy. In other words, it's well insulated. Also, it is not too heavy. In the words of Goldilocks, "It's just right!" The lid holds in the heat as you steep/brew your tea or coffee and makes for a functional infuser holder so you can finish preparing your beverage in another room besides the kitchen. I recommend preheating your cup with a splash of hot water (as with any mug) before you prepare your tea/coffee so it doesn't cool down too fast. I'll now have to order another one to replace the one I snatched from the gift exchange. Merry Christmas and God bless!!! :)

There was a slight chipping on the lid when it arrived.. but other than that the packaging was good The cup looks good, the infuser works as expected. Recommended

Handle very comfy for this capacity. Lid fits well and the strainer is a plus!
