This is a solid replacement battery for my Intel MacBook Pro—works great once installed. The installation, however, can be a bit tricky, so I’d recommend a couple of adjustments to the procedure shown in the video that comes with the product: 1. Remove the trackpad first – Doing this before prying out the old battery helps avoid accidentally damaging the trackpad chips that are right next to the glued part. It’s an extra step, but it makes the process much safer. 2. Remove the adhesive covers from the new battery before placing it – This makes it much easier to align and set properly when installing. For anyone attempting this repair, I found this video much clearer and safer to follow than the included instructions: Look up the video on youtube titled: MacBook Pro A1708 A2159 A2289 A2338 Replacement Battery - Remove the Touchpad. Overall, excellent battery—just make sure you go in prepared and take your time.

This battery did not work at all and actually caused damage to my computer when we replaced it. I am outside of the return window so I was unable to get a refund.

Fantastic upgraded battery and removal/installation tools for my A1708 MacBook Pro. The included instructions booklet is awful -- Just throw it in the trash because there are outstanding YouTube video and iFixit installation guides that step-by-step walk you through an otherwise complicated job. Fingernail polish remover (99% acetone) works great to soften the adhesive securing the old battery in place. Use sparingly.

The Battery holds charge and lasts long so far!!

Whether that's actually true, I don't know but I can say that this was a perfect fit and came with everything you need to successfully change your laptop's battery. Comes with instructions on each step, and guides with pictures, and even gives warnings on what not to do along with detailed explanations for each component that you basically touch. Tools are actually good quality and good enough for me to put away in my tool box for later...not a one time use only quality. My MacbookPro fired right up and went to check battery status and is now back to normal, no needed service warning like before.

Was definitely due to replace my late 2016 mac battery. This came with everything you need and easy instructions. I am giving it 3 stars because I either received a faulty track pad cable or I damaged it somehow. Computers turns on and I can type, just can’t use the track pad.

My battery wasn't holding a good charge, changed it out with this new one and can't be happier, my MacBook is working great again and battery life is unbelievable.take your time and be careful and you won't have any problems changing out yourself.........

After installation, the laptop did not indicate that the battery was present. Tried repeatedly to contact customer support as they offered 24hr support line. Never received a response from anyone. Returned the battery for a refund from Amazon .
