Is plug and play. Having difficulty with wifi on 1st floor. Router on ground floor. Got a 30 Meter cat 6 cable and used this adaptor and from speeds of about 30 to 40 mbps I am now getting 140 to 160 mbps. Worth the price. Work can go smoother now. Thank you honeywell
