Cheap and tastes decent

Absolutely dreadful. I've tried a lot of different brands of protein powder over the last 7 or so years, and this is by far the worst that I have had the misfortune of coming across. The taste (supposedly "vanilla") tastes absolutely nothing like vanilla whatsoever, and isn't particularly pleasant. The smell is akin to a disaster at a chemical factory. The shakes themselves have a grainy, chalky consistency, and even with a bullet blender the powder sticks insidiously to the side of the container requiring additional scrubbing to clean off. I tried once and thought I could probably stick with it. The second time gave me severe heartburn. I won't be having anymore. This is certainly a "you get what you pay for". Avoid.

Second time I have bought this it works fine for me I have just had a 10 month lay off with my 5 spinal fractures and a torn rotator cuff .Back in the gym now and this more than helping my shattered body repair itself,my muscles are coming back at a alarming rate.I will purchase again when I have finished my 5 kilo pack .As far as taste and mixability is concerned that just fluff and doesn't interest me .My concern is results and that's what it's giving me!

Normally buy from bulkpowders as I can rely on the taste of their products always being to my taste, no strong chemical taste as I think USA based products tend to include as some marketing guy once thought people would think it was doing you good if it tasted of something like medicine? Seriously I've actually read this may be the case! Anyway this protein was way, way cheaper (the price at the moment!), so thought I'd give it a go... I'd rather have given the chocolate a go but was out of stock, so bought this as a mix and chuck affair. It mixes well with water, texture very similar to the normal bulk powders/My protein kinda stuff, the taste is kinda band, not super sweet or a strong taste of anything... bit like unflavoured with a bit of yellow colouring in and a few drops of vanilla essense really. Your not going to want to make it into a dessert or anything, but actually bland is better than strong over sweet/chemical taste so will (thanksfully!) get through the massive bag. Will actually try the chocolate when I get through this.

As title says. Worst protein flavour I have ever tasted in my entire life, and I have had a few on every continent. If the ingredients are true, however, it is good value.

Great product. Dissolves pretty well after some stirring into a thick-ish shake. I have it hot sometimes.

I have tried many protein powders, but this one is by far the worst. The taste is absolutely terrible—artificial, chalky, and hard to stomach. No matter how much I shake or blend it, it refuses to dissolve properly, leaving clumps and a weird, slimy texture. It coats my mouth in an unpleasant way, making it hard to finish even one serving. I’ve never had such a bad experience with a protein powder in my life. Definitely not worth the money! Avoid at all costs.

I can confirm there was a strong artificial smell upon opening. It doesn't have a nice vanilla taste and in fact its the worst vanilla whey I've ever tasted! It has a taste like the worst packet cake mix you have ever tasted. It's hard to mix. Even with a few minutes of shaking in a proper shaker it's still lumpy.. However it tastes better the more milk you add. 400mls made it taste a little better. I will finish off the packet and never buy Sports Fuel again. If you want a cheap whey protein and aren't bothered about the taste, then this is for you. But I will spend a fiver more and get a decent brand next time.
