Berkley BSLR602ML Lightning Rod Spinning 6' Review: Recommended as a starter bass rod - This rod (6’ medium light) was recommended by a very knowledgeable bass pro as a good starter rod when I was beginning to go freshwater fishing, and I have been so pleased with it that I bought a second one when I lost the first one (don’t ask 🙄) - it has great balance, has stood up to a lot of use. I’ve paired it with a Daiwa legalis 2500 reel for bass and also a lighter 1000 for trout fishing. Nice compromise between an ultralight and a medium weight. Review: Updated classic. - Like my Ugly Stiks review, the only fault with the rod is it won't stand up to being run over by your fishing buddy. Fortunately he didn't run over the Original lighting rod and I was able to buy two new light 5'6" rods which are perfect for trout and Walleye and small mouth bass. The new cork grip is great and it sends spinners long distance.

A true ultra light action rod
Mine did not arrive broken!! Nice light action. I could never find an ultra light rod in stores so I was happy to find this one. I've owned Berkley lightning rods in med and heavy action so this was a perfect fit for my collection
