Grandson loves it
We bought this for our 11 year old great grandson and he absolutely loves it. I wish I'd taken a picture of him building with it while they were visiting us but I was so enthralled with how quickly he dove into creating his car, I forgot to snap a pic. I'd compare it with the old fashioned Erector sets but at a fraction of the cost. The only thing I see bad about it is the size of the pieces. I bought Jack a pair of tweezers the next day to help him hold onto the tiny pieces.

Great for older kids
Instructions are small and difficult for an 8 year old. No ruff edges and the nuts and bolts are smooth with no hang ups. Great quality parts.

A lot small than thought not the same as the old erector sets.
I was a little disappointed in this set. Everything is VERY small. I was looking for something equal to the erector set I had growing up and this isn't even close. The instructions for some of the things you can build had errors. I bought this for my 8 yr old who loves to build things and as small as her fingers are she had trouble with how tight everything is to assemble. The gears don't mesh well and skip teeth. Can't really build anything other than the things in the book. That said if you keep at it you can build some cool things. Definitely teaches perseverance.

Challenging & Kept My Son Busy For Days On 1 Model!
Our 9 yr old is very mechanically inclined and has moved past Legos. We bought this for his next challenge, and challenging it was! The instructions are pretty clear but a little above his head. He struggled with a little of the dexterity needed to piece it together as well. After about 3 days (several hours a day), he emerged victoriously from his room to announced he had completed 1 model. He joyfully played with it the next day, and that evening disassembled it to move on to his next modelling conquest. A neat toy; glad we bought it!

Thought this would be a good deal as it was a steel based erector set ...
Thought this would be a good deal as it was a steel based erector set which is what we wanted and it offered a number of different designs at a good price. Upon getting it, the pieces were indeed steel but were definitely a lot smaller than I would have anticipated. I didn't consider that a problem so my son (age 9) and I got to work putting it together. I consider myself pretty proficient with mechanically inclined activities and work as an engineer, so I was really surprised at the lack of details in the build instructions. It really seemed that in order to save on paper and ink, they merged fairly complex procedures into very cluttered lined-parts diagrams that were way to small to easily read. I tried to let my son help pull the parts for each step, but even the labeling and description of parts required multi-table lookups. Then you had to trace the lines through multiple pieces to find out how to build out the individual components of the model. I quickly resolved that my son would not be doing the builds by himself but I thought it will just be father-son project time when we work on this. Then we got to some of the assembly and this is where the size of the pieces played against us. There were nuts and bolts that you had to thread and tighten that were inside of the model where you had 1/4 to 1/2 inch openings to get your fingers and a nut or bolt in to start threading it. My adult size hands had no chance and my son's smaller hands were no better. You needed needle nose pliers, magnetic holding rods, tweezers, etc. to get this assembly to happen. The provided tools (that you have to put together yourself) were junk and insufficient to gain access to these areas. After I had to disassemble several components because the incorrect piece was used (again due to poor instructions and parts labeling) I decided this was not turning out to be the kit we had wanted nor had been described as good for ages 8+. I was about 2 hours in on a model build and still working to get the main mechanical structure assembled. We decided to return it and look for something that was better age appropriate.

Excelente Manual de instruções de montagem deixa a desejar devido a falta de detalhamento e devido a desenhos confusos,

Let alone a 8 year old boy, even an adult will struggle with the assembly due to the poor instructions. There are no step by step instructions and the ones provided are too tiny and over complex .

I liked the models they designed from adults sport vehicles and materials is so good and it's better than other kits from the same co.
