Update: Awesome Customer support: The Warranty Replacement set they sent me works great!
Update (June 22, 2025): I contacted Avantree to see if the problem I was having (scroll down to see my original review) was covered under the warranty, and if I still had warranty time left. I received a reply from Avantree customer support; yes, and yes, and they said they would be sending out a replacement.I got the replacement a couple of days ago, and trialed it yesterday at my hot, dirty, physically demanding outside job.It worked perfectly; I was able to answer calls with the inline clicker/speaker, and callers said my voice was clear and that there were no annoying sounds, no drop outs. Occasionally, especially while indoors (with a second floor overhead) I got a little echo of my own voice, but that might be more due to signal interference from the second floor or metal roof, or perhaps even the heavy cloud cover we've had lately (thunder storm season). (?). Today it was clearer outside, and I heard no echo even while under roof or second floor inside. The warranty replacement headset I received looks nearly identical to the one it replaces, except the ear pieces are slightly smaller and perhaps a bit lighter weight (see my review photos comparing new to old earpieces).I can't handle the other type of earbuds (the typical kind that one has to stick into one's ear), so Avantree's Open Ear design "Resolve L" with inline microphone / answer clicker suits me best.I tend to only wear one ear piece while I'm working - the side that has the wired in-line speaker / answer clicker (the right ear in this case). I only put the other (left) side in if it's noisy outside when I get a call. The left earpiece usually gets tucked under a bra strap under my shirt so it doesn't drop down when I go to pick up a cinder block, or bend over a wheel barrow moving sand or sifting mulch. I wish this set came with more wire management clips.Wire management of any wired headset is always a bit of a hassle. This set comes with one very nice wire management clip, but I wish it came with more - a total of 3 clips would be perfect for my use (one clip for each wire going to an ear piece, one clip to secure and direct the remaining wire length that returns back to one's phone.)Lately I've been using a Saxsion phone lanyard (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F3H22T6K?th=1) in a modified butterfly backpack arrangement (see photo) to help keep my phone behind me and safely out of harm's way while I'm working, and with that rig I usually put the headset line under the straps as I put the phone behind my back. On days when I have to use a tool belt, the wire length on the Avantree Resolve L headset is long enough to allow me to thread the line through the belt loops on its way to the rear pocket of the tool belt where I keep my phone. The Avantree Resolve L, with its exceptional Warranty and Customer Support remains the best solution I've found for my ear-piece sensitivities and my need to have a durable, quality phone connection that allows me to be hands free while working my physically demanding job.It checks all my boxes: it's affordable, has a comfortable open ear design, delivers quality sound, already comes with lightning connection, and has an awesome product warranty and a responsive customer support staff.I would not hesitate to buy the Avantree Resolve L open ear with inline speaker again, not only for myself, but for a family member or friend who likewise can't handle the "other" type of earbud and is seeking a more comfortable, affordable, quality solution for a wired headset with inline speaker.I've tried many, many headsets, and this one remains the best quality sound, design, comfort, function, and value for price point that I've found. The Avantree warranty and responsive customer support when things go wrong are really rare and exceptional these days, and deeply appreciated!Thank you Avantree for sending out my replacement so quickly so I would not be without a safety phone at work for very long.Old Review (before I received the Warranty Replacement) follows below:Good while it lasted...Purchased January 29, 2025 for my iPhone 13, started having problems by 6/2/2025.While it worked, the sound quality was good (on both ends - I could hear incoming, they could hear me).I bought an "L" size, and it was comfortable and stayed in place throughout my strenuous outdoor work day.The cord arrangement could have been better.Only one soft clip is provided, and that was insufficient to manage all three cords (the cord to each ear, and the long cord to my cell phone). I used small clamp type binder clips for a while to pin the cords to my shirt, but getting them set up "just right" EVERY time was such a hassle. I finally ended up storing my phone in a light weight (nearly gossamer) string-strap type backpack so the longest main cord stayed safely behind me and largely within the backpack while I worked. This was the best solution for me (it also eased the "strain" of having a heavy iphone dragging my pants down, or putting weight on my bladder if I had put the phone into a "fanny pack" or tool belt.Sadly, when the cord's built-in speaker's answer button stopped working (my phone would ring, I would hit the answer button on the cord and NOTHING would happen), the "useful life" of this Avantree Resolve-L ended for me.It's hard to find an external earbud with lightning for iphone that also has comfortable over-ear loop and good sound quality. I wish this one had lasted longer. It was honestly the best one I had found to date....until the inline answer button stopped working.(This review has been updated above after I received the warranty replacement they shipped out to me).

Surprisingly my favorite for gaming!
These are my absolute favorite for general computer use and even gaming! I have very particular criteria for headphones and these check every box for me. Yours might be different, but I’ll list mine in case it helps.1. I have small ears so in-ear headphones/earbuds hardly EVER work for me. These go around the ear/rests gently (and lightly!) over them so it fits perfect and is easy to adjust.2. I very easily get pain or headaches from tension on my ears or head (why I generally can’t wear any over the ear headphones either), but these don’t bother me at all even with extended wear. I once wore them for 10+ hrs straight and had no issues! The only time I start to feel any strain is when there’s something pulling on the cord for a while or if I don’t use the clip to help relieve the weight of the cord hanging down. Other than that, I seriously forget they’re there! Truly a miracle for me.3. I need to hear my surroundings. These are perfect for that without much sacrifice on sound quality. Are these going to be the best sounding headphones on the market ever? No. But I think they sound fantastic, much better than other headphones I’ve had, and they’re good enough that I can even hear those light directional footsteps when playing Escape from Tarkov. iykyk4. I need to be able to wear them with glasses. They do this no problem with no issues with tension. I do find putting the headphones on first before putting glasses on helps them feel and sit better. So those were my mandatory criteria which they meet flawlessly, then they have added bonuses on top of that.Pros: overall quality, price, volume control, durability (had them about a year now with long daily use and they’re still like new), clarity in sound and mic are all fantastic. I’m very pleasantly surprised with all of those. I didn’t care about the little added clip on the cord at first, but came to really appreciate that as well. The cord is a good length too, not too long or short, doesn’t get tangled too easily, and it fits in a standard headphone jack (and splitter if you need to separately plug in the mic). No static or cracks at all even when yanking the cord around. The headphones also have a lovely and stylish design on top of everything else, and they don’t look weird on small ears/heads!Cons: The only thing more I could possibly want from these is a mute button on the cord, but it mutes from the computer or program you’re using just fine, so that’s really not an issue.Overall: I love the daylights out of these headphones! I’ve tried dozens of all kinds of headphones and these are the absolute Goldilocks for me. If you’re on the fence, I 1000% recommend giving them a try!

Comfortable, ok sound quality, limited upper frequency range
These are quite comfortable to wear. I can barely feel I'm wearing them. They don't go in your ears but actual speaker part is wide and flat, so they do cover the entire opening of my ear, which very slightly muffles external sounds. It also holds a little bit of heat in but not as much as over ear headphones or in ear earbuds. The sound quality is.. adequate. There's not very much bass. The sound sounds very open, almost like like listening to my laptop speakers. They can get quite loud, louder than I would want to listen to, without distorting. But they're significantly quieter for a given output volume from my laptop than when I connect some different earbuds, so you have to turn the volume up higher. They have an inline volume control and play/pause button. It worked perfectly when plugged into the headphone port on my macbook. The inline microphone works. The volume is a little bit low unless you hold the mic close to your mouth, but it's similar to other inline microphones. Voice sounds clear and not muffled. However, I couldn't get my macbook to detect them as a microphone input when connected to the 3.5mm port. I know the port works because I can use it with other headphones with inline mics.Overall, they're ok. They would be fine for some background sound while I'm working, but I probably wouldn't use them when listening to the music is my main focus, or for watching action movies. It's a little disappointing because it is possible to make open-ear headphones that do sound good- see some of the options Anker or Shokz offers. They're just not great for gaming because of the latency over bluetooth, which is why I wanted to go wired.
