memo24 Talking Clock, Announces Time/Day/Date, Visually Impaired & Elderly.

Bought this for a family member who unexpectedly lost her sight. She didn’t know what time of day it was! It was easy to set up for her and the clear male voice made it easy to hear. Just about to order a second one so she has one upstairs and one down. Would recommend, easy to use, value for money and come with batteries too!

Brilliant for my mum who is 99 and wants to be able to keep in touch with life. She can’t see a watch or clock so this is ideal for her. This is second one she’s had, first got broken. Mum is delighted with it.

Great little talking clock, especially for the visually impaired.

This talking clock is almost exactly what I needed for my mother in law who suffers from onset dementia. The controls couldn't be simpler, a giant red button that covers the entire top of the circular clock. The design is light and compact, standing less than three inches tall. Press one side of the large button and you hear the time. Press the other side and you hear the date and day of the week in a clear, male voice. So, what's not to like? Well, simple really and a minor design thought that appears to have been overlooked when touting the clock as being suitable for those suffering from dementia. It was obvious to me what was needed, but evidently not to those making this otherwise perfectly good product. Those with dementia often do not understand what AM and PM relate to. I had to remind my mother in law what AM and PM meant, and she still gets things confused. Add to that the potential confusion that at this time of year in mid summer, it's daylight at both 5 in the morning and afternoon. Had the clock offered an option to replace AM with "in the morning" and PM with "in the afternoon/evening" depending on the hour, the product would be perfect.

My mother in law apart from being blind has a hearing impairment too therefore wears hearing aides she has little awareness of time so this clock is a lifesaver. It has a loud clear voice and as well as speaking the time is also announces the day and date and so easy to set up an excellent buy all round and so affordable would recommend this clock for sure

Bought this product for my mother in a care home and it’s never really worked from day one having to reset it the clock every time we visit her .just like to know if there’s any chance of a refund to my account. I am a loyal customer with Amazon

Gut verständliche Ansage. Geboten werden Uhrzeit, Datum mit Wochentag und Wecker. (Uhrzeit (statt 24 Stunden) je 12 Stunden und a.m / p.m., wie es in vielen englischsprachigen Ländern üblich ist.) Ich war in der Lage, die Einstellungen ohne Anleitung recht schnell hinzubekommen. Wenn sie gut positioniert wird, sollte sie gute Dienste leisten. Das 90-jährige erblindete Familienmitglied kommt gut damit zurecht. Da sie weder in der Lage ist, einen PC oder ein Smartphone zu bedienen und und lediglich per Festnetztelefon Kontakt hält, ist die Talking Clock für ihre Zwecke ideal. Deren Einrichtung ist jedenfalls deutlich einfacher als die Installation von Alexa o. ä. und die Erstellung und Pflege der dafür erforderlichen Infrastruktur.
