It works really well and what great crema!
However, it takes a lot of effort pumping, and is s bit hard on my thumbs, so i turn it a bit and use my palms and heels of my hands to push the plunger in; Not a deal-breaker, though, becaus it is fantastic espresso! What a treat to know I can take this with me, and as long as I can microwave or stove boil water, that I am guaranteed a great cup of coffee! I have drunk a shot with sugar and heavy cream, which I love! I’ve also used the shot(s) to make mixed espresso drinks, both hot AND cold! Total yumminess! I definitely recommend this portable espresso maker. I purchased the separate Simpresso pod accessory that allows you to not use grounds. It makes the whole process easier to clean! Even though it’s not the best environmental choice, I like the convenience of them. I also purchased the “lungo” accessory, but have not used it yet. It allows you to make a larger shot. You can buy “lungo” pods at most stores… I love the selection at the local Target store!! If uou are even researching hthis item, then you definitely need this espresso maker, so don’t hesitate! This is by far the best one I have used!

Some unnecessary stuff included but overall a good addition
"BARISTA KIT": I think it is worth it, although you get a little bit more than you would really need. You get THREE "filter baskets" (2x 16g and 1x 8g) which allows you to "preload" the coffee to make them one after the other. Frankly, that leaves you with FOUR baskets if you include the one that already came with the Nanopress, which at that point, is unnecessary. They could have left out the extra 8oz IMHO, reducing cost a little bit. The included tamper is nice and much easier to use than the coffee scoop included with the Nanopresso. For traveling, you can easily fit both large coffee filters into the unit, as well as the tamper. You can't fit the coffee scoop in, however, with some "fiddling" you can fit the cleaning brush in, which is important. IMHO, the "Barista Kit" is worth buying as it allows you to make more coffee quickly. It also allows more variation in the strength of the coffee, since you have the larger coffee baskets and you can put a little less coffee in the water tank if you prefer a a stronger brew if you like but still have plenty of brew in your cup! (With the smaller water tank, your adjustment options are more limited.) (We found filling up the water tank to capacity produced a slightly weaker brew than we prefer, so the option to use a little less water but still have plenty of coffee was preferred.) There had been some comments in a review or two about "oh, my coffee isn't as hot when I use the larger water tank..." What?? Really?? "Cooled down coffee?" How long does it take you to pump a few extra pumps for a larger cup? Are you using lukewarm tap water and then waiting a half an hour before drinking??? I found no such issue with "cooler coffee." And if you're using just-boiled water, you better be careful that it does sit a bit so you don't burn yourself. No, no issue with "cooler coffee." Finally, including here a review on the "Wacaco Nanopresso Case, Protective Case for Nanopresso"... This I don't rate so highly. It is a very tight fit for the Nanopress, regardless of whether you have the basic unit or the "Barista kit extension tube." Both units will fit length-wise into the case, but the height (diameter) of the unit (which doesn't change) makes it a very tight fit. While there is an outdent to accommodate the unit's pump handle bulge, you can't fit anything else in the container, such as the very small but very necessary filter brush. As long as there already is a bulge in the case, there really should be a small compartment to put that kind of accessory in. In that, I'll ding it 1 star. What are you going to do with the brush, besides loose it? Better yet, instead of a compartment, just making the case as little as an inch longer would accommodate the brush and maybe another accessory or two, and certainly wouldn't increase the size much at all.

Awesome. Essential Nanopresso accessory for double-shot goodness. Don't buy the cheap knockoffs. Nanopresso FTW
Awesome. With this and the Nanopresso, you have the double-shot espresso most of us are used to getting when we order espresso drinks in a coffee shop. And BTW, the Nanopresso is AMAZING. Makes so much crema. It actually makes better shots than our friends huge and very serious top-of-the-line home espresso machine. (costs like $1,500) How is this possible? the little nanopresso and its clever pressure-building valve actually puts more pressure through the puck than you can get outside of a real coffee shop. I never understood how coffee snobs would say "I'm tasting floral notes with these beans" until I got our nanopresso. Amazing, no bitterness, all creamy smoothness and yes, floral notes. A titan in a small package. Support this company and don't buy the cheap knockoffs. The innovation and quality is excellent.

Amazing and necessary attachment that should come with the original!
Awesome product! The only reason I give this only 4 stars is because I feel like it would have been nice if this wasn’t an additional item and it came with the kit. For an additional $30 it feels a bit much for something as simple as a double shot vs a single shot. Other than that, it’s extremely easy to use and clean and the instructions explain very well how to use it with the original product! This speeds up the process of making espresso based drinks with the nanopresso a TON and I am extremely grateful for it!

Great espresso, but water tank can pop off and do serious harm
Love the coffee it makes (more on that towards the end of the review), so why 1 star review? It is dangerous to use: I was excited about the product, read youtube reviews, advice on use and even the manual once I got my nanopresso. When it arrived, it looked great, felt well made, and I loved how portable it was. I used it 2-3 times a day for 9 days. During that time the water tank opened/popped off twice (both times the lager water tank from the barista set). First time it was during a party with a bunch of small kids running around. Luckily neither I not anybody else got hurt. I blamed the incident on my not paying attention, and I have been much more careful since then. Just yesterday evening the tank popped off again. This time boiling hot water poured all over my fingers resulting in a whole lot of pain and bad blisters. Luckily people around me only got splashed with warm water, so it did not hurt them. I still felt very guilty. When I got my Nanopresso, I noticed that there was no locking mechanism to keep the tank in place, but I assumed that the design was safe. They would not sell it otherwise, right? yeah... apparently not so much. With regards to coffee quality: The coffee this little machine makes it very good, way better than starbucks and most other coffee shops I have been to (yeah, I am a bit of a coffee snob). Espresso is rich, full-bodied, and strong. I really enjoyed it every single time and I was looking forward to adjusting different parameters and experimenting with pulling the perfect espresso shot. None of this means anything because of the water tank design flaw. Unfortunately, I do NOT recommend the product, and I do not want to try it again. My hand got seriously burned and it there is no way I will try this again. I will be returning mine ASAP and while I still like the idea, I will be much more sceptical when considering alternatives.

Improves on an already wonderful device.
The Wacaco Nanopresso makes pretty darn good espresso. Certainly as good as the green mermaid place. But, the problem is that you can only do a single shot. And it only comes with a single portafilter basket. This add on corrects both issues and comes with a tamper. I haven't used this traveling. I use it at home. But, it means that for less than 100 dollars I get a good enough for me espresso device that complements my Chemex and Aeropress for those times that I want a shot of espresso (or I want to make an espresso drink for friends). If you are organized you can fill two of the double shot portafilter baskets and make two drinks in succession. I recommend 15.5 gr of coffee with 50 gr of boiling water.

Great extension to an already great product
We always take our Nanopresso with us on trips and holidays. It makes a great espresso for such a tiny package. The downside was that it could only deliver a single shot of espresso at a time. You then had to clean the basket, dry the whole thing, refill and tamp the basket, reboil the water, etc. By the time the second shot was done, the first one had gone totally cold. The Barista Kit solves the "coffee for one" limitation by providing two double-shot baskets, 1 additional single-shot basket, an extension ring to make room for the double-shot basket, and a larger water container. The result is that I can now fill and tamp two baskets. I fill the water container with enough water for two coffees, press the first, replace the basket and press the second. We now have two freshly made espressos (single or double shots depending on the time of day) both nice and hot. Perfect for a globe-trotting couple like us.

これは良いものだ
ノーマルでは量が足りないので問答無用で購入しました。 個人的な感想ですがダブルプレッソにした方が美味しいです、またクレマも多いいと感じられます 値段は安くないですがその価値はあると思います。購入して正解でした。
