These have been a staple in my daily work life. As a welder, I don't get many chances to stop and drink, and it's always hot where I'm working. I never feel thirsty when drinking these, they taste great, no issues with the poops like I have some other drinks like these, they keep me hydrated through the day so I'm never feeling tired, and definitely effective. They are a little pricy, but definitely worth it.

I was nervous to try this for all of the usual reasons that these products typically fall short : chalky, gritty, doesn’t mix well, bad taste/aftertaste, doesn’t work, etc. but I was also intrigued and needing to find an aid for my issue- poor hydration that has gotten significantly worse since masking has began. I watched for a deal on Amazon and then gave them a try. I appreciate that the packing is super convenient; no scoops, measuring, funneling. I can keep some in my bag for travel/work/in the car. It does not have a smell unless you get the powder right up to your face, no “vitamin smell”. I mixed mine with cold water so as expected I had to stir a little extra but it mixed in really well and only made the water slightly cloudy, no dyes/coloring which I liked. The day I tried it I was dehydrated (extremely dry mouth, slightly nauseous, sore throat, sluggish). My first sip was oddly satisfying. You can tell it’s “more than water” but not in a bad way, similar to a sports drink but nothing artificial tasting. The taste is just right in my opinion, I’ve began to hate the taste of sports drinks so I was happy this wasn’t just a replica of them. But the aftertaste had just a slightly salty name brand (g) yellow sports drink taste which I actually really loved! Then I immediately realized my mouth wasn’t even the slightest bit dry, my throat wasn’t sore but they did NOT have a “coating” on them, my mouth just felt like a healthy, hydrated mouth! That’s what really hooked me. It did not upset my stomach at all and I did start feeling better shortly after. I do my best not to get like that often but sometimes it just happens and now I have these on hand and try to have at least one a day if I know I have not come close to consuming enough water.

So the title may be a bit odd, but it is meant well. I have a hydration issue, if I could live my life off soda I would, but we all know that is just a fast track to health issues. So, I often try to find good substitutes for flavored drinks. I've tried a bunch of powered mixes made to give water a bit of fun and flavor but often run into an issue of them having too strong of a taste. Sadly I had the same issue with the Acai Berry Hydration packs, they are just too much for one drink! I've run into the same issue with things like Gatorade, where I have to water it down to enjoy it. I'm unsure why soda doesn't give me the same issue... BUT why this gets a 4-star rating is because while using a 1:1 ratio doesn't work for me, splitting the packet between 2 bottles of water has been perfect! Not only is it easy to eyeball half the packet, but the packets themselves are also made out of that tinfoily paper type where if you fold it closed it stays that away! It also prompts me to drink 2 bottles of water vs just one. I like the overall taste and I feel like it helps with my hydration a lot. Overall, I am happy I bought the pack, though I now realize the larger bag is going to last me twice as long. lol

The Açaí Berry flavor is very subtle, but still present. It’s not as blatantly flavorful as some other Liquid IV flavors, but it’s good if you want to add your own berries or flavor syrups for variety.

I still really like the brand and the product overall, but this particular flavor isn’t my favorite. It’s a bit too sweet for my personal taste, so I often end up mixing it with other flavors or adding something else to balance it out. Even so, it still does what it’s supposed to do, and I appreciate the consistency and quality I’ve come to expect. I’d still give it 5 stars overall, just not the flavor I reach for most often.

Works great to drink during a workout or for a hangover or even while drinking add this to 12oz of water and chug it down. Taste is good, dissolves after mixing, good value for what it does and the texture is good as easily dissolves. I use my little electric mixer.
