The Philips Air purifier has helped me tremendously!
I have asthma and I react very badly to air contamination, and prior to buying the Philips Air+ I was using my inhalers more and more. Now that I have my Philips I am getting great relief from the constant coughing. It clears the bad air rapidly and I am now, in the main, just using my inhaler am and pm as prescribed. My Philips is cleaning the air really well. It is very light to move around so I use it in the bedroom at night then move it to the living room for day use. I have my Philips set to Auto which monitors and automatically adjusts to the air conditions at the time. I leave mine on Auto for 24/7 because if the air does get worse it just sorts it out quietly. It is an extremely quiet machine, so fan noise is never an issue. Prior to the Philips I was not getting a decent night's sleep but since buying it, I am sleeping really well due to not waking up coughing from my asthma The Air+ app is useful, as it keeps you updated on the air around you. I have found that the app has a tendency to drop out and stops working. Apparently, Philips are aware of the issue, so a fix may be on the way. I can genuinely recommend the Philips Air Purifier, it has been a godsend for me!

Impressive.
Effective and easy to set up. Remember to remove the plastic bag from the filter before first use. I have really noticed a significant reduction in the amount of dusting I need to do since getting this. Recommended.

Good quality, easy to set up, does what it says on the tin
I purchased this air purifier for the bedroom, as this room does sometimes suffer from mould especially during winter months when I do not open the window. I know that these air purifiers are not really meant to be used as a tool for mould control but it does appear to be helping to keep it at bay. The build quality is very good, it was easy to install just downloaded the app and it connected without any problems, the app is informative and functional, keeping you up to date with air quality readings, however it does sometimes disconnect from the app for no apparent reason. I keep it on an automatic setting which means it will adjust fan speed etc automatically depending on the quality of air it senses, so I just let it do its thing. I have had no issues with noise levels, although obviously there is some fan noise when it goes into turbo mode but wouldnt say it is excessive and it never stays in that mode for long. It has never woken me up of prevented me from sleeping. One important point to note is that when you first use this unit, please take out the filter and remove the sealed plastic bag that the filter is in. I neglected to do this, so for a good month it was trying to draw air through the sealed filter and I am lucky it didnt burn itself out or malfunction, however until I realised I thought the unit was defective as obviously it wasnt cleaning the air. As far as functionality it does appear to be doing a good job of prurifying the air as most of the time the reading in the app is showing that the air quality is good. Although I do not have accurate room length and width measurments, the room that it sits in is aprox. 12ft by 10ft. The only reservation I have, hense 4 stars and not 5, is the acuracy of filter change information as I suspect rather than it actually sensing that the filter needs to be cleaned it just seems to be telling me to clean the filter every couple of months, even though on inspection the filter looks perfectly clean. Incidently the filter is very easy to access, just unscrew (by hand) the port at the bottom of the unit and pull the filter out. Over all I'm very pleased with this purchase and it represents good value for money.

Excellent with annoying app
The air purifier itself is great and does exactly what it’s supposed to, however, the app was a nightmare to get working continuously, although looks sorted for now at least and is nice and helpful to see air quality in local area as well as the room and the percentage guidance for filter cleaning and life obviously very handy. Easy to set up just remove bottom and then cover from filter replace filter and bottom of device, just use app to leave speed on auto and adjusts quickly to changes in air quality, longevity of filter will depend on your own atmospheric conditions but also deals with smells very quickly as noticed when cooking.

Breathing made easy with Philip’s 600 Series
I have been using my Philips air purifier 600 Series for the past 18 months, I keep it cleaned and fit original filters when there due, people ask me when they see my purifier if I believe they really work and I say yes for sure. Take a look a my pictures and it tells their own story. I keep my purifier in my kitchen and it keeps it free from cooking smells, it’s turned on all the time, filters last 9 months roughly. The purifier is not that big but it’s quite powerful. The app is easy to use, set up was straight forward. I would definitely buy another as you get a lot for the overall price, original filters are £29 at the moment, definitely value for money. It runs quietly in the background and the airflow is good.

It's a plastic box with a sensor, filter and fan.
Put simply, this is just a plastic box with a fan and a filter. Owned for a month at the point of writing this review. Unboxing and set up was as simple as it gets, open box, open the base of the unit, remove filter from its plastic bag, plonk the filter back in and reattach the base with a slight twist and click. Download the app and follow the extremely simple pairing instructions to link to both phone and WiFi. I find leaving the filter in Automatic mode works for me - uses hardly any electric so left in that mode 24/7. When air pollutants are detected (such as hair spray or deodorant or kicked up dust) the fan will race up within ten seconds. I've just cleaned the filter for the first time - again a simple process of carefully removing the filter and using the vacuum cleaner with the brush attachment to suck off the accumulated debris. I chose to do this outside as I didn't see the sense in possibly knocking the filter contents off indoors. After 28 days of use I realised the app on the phone would not connect to the unit. A power cycle sorted that. After living with the air filter in my bedroom for a month and seeing what it has pulled out of the air, I would say it is a useful device at too high a price. Yes, it is fairly quiet when just ticking over, it does remove dust from the air in the immediate vicinity, it is as effective as it can be for a paper filter. I don't find I am coughing or sneezing as much in the mornings as I was before using the device - there could be numerous reasons for that though. There is no nasty smell given off by this filter - it is only a plastic case, fan and filter after all. (And some electrical wizardry for the WiFi and sensor!)

Highly recommend!
I would say that since I have it I feel safer regarding air quality. It’s definitely cleaning the air in my bedroom and it’s really quiet and my sleep quality is better than before!

Disappointed
I am normally very satisfied with Philips products, but I was gravely disappointed with this one. Functionally, it was great and did its job filtering the air, as there was a noticeable reduction in dust settlement in the room. However, my unit must have been faulty (a similar issue was described in others' reviews); the motor has a bearing issue which resulted in an audible, oscillating noise that was often louder than the sound of the fan, especially in Sleep mode. The app felt more like a gimmick. It had connection problems, often requiring a wait for the fan to "connect" when opening the app. The particle sensor itself seemed to be accurate; however, the historical data logged was only the hourly average. This led to spikes in pollutants not showing up. For example, if the air quality degraded for about 10 minutes (120 PM2.5) but was quickly filtered and remained low for the rest of the hour, the graph would only show the hourly average (20 PM2.5). Sad to say, I have returned the product.
