Yamaha CD-C603 5-Disc CD Changer with USB Playback

Great replacement for our old cd player. So seems worth the money.

One of Yamaha's best, this CD caracole changer of 5 CDs, works very well however you can't play all the disks at random by programing them! But you can program them to play one at a time at random. So, play just one or get about 6:35 hours with all 5 CDs at continuous playing them. This is what it was like having a CD playing system back in the 1990s, I'm glad to see that Yamaha still has this option available today. Streaming will not completely kill the CD, having a hard copy of your music will aways be available to use in the future, because of trendy changes that come and go when people change there style of media usage over time.

I am not tech savvy. 20 years ago I bought a Bose 6 cd player. It was simple to use and had great sound quality. It died and can now be repaired and I do not want a refurbished machine. I just bought a Yamaha 5 cd changer from Amazon. I now find out I need active speakers. No problem. I found some reasonable JBL’s. Now I realize there is no place to adjust the volume. I don’t need professional quality, but I love music and I want a good quality. Do I return the cd player and start over. Or is there a reasonable remedy?

The draw never opened making the machine useless from the start. Called customer service and had a quick response. They told me to return it since I received a defective CD changer. This is expensive machine. I had to open the outer Amazon carton, then open the CD changer box, remove the packaging and read the instructions, pull out the CD changer and place it in a shelf above my receiver. Plug the cord into the back of the receiver. Then plug in the included RCA cable into the CD changer and receiver. I was getting excited,I turned on the power on the receiver, then turned on the power on the new beautiful CD changer, the new machine lit up and I was ready to place in my CDs. So I looked over the instructions again pressed the button that was lit up. No responce so I checked instructions again and found another way to open the draw. I pressed the button multiple times as instructed. No responce, draw wouldn’t open, what a disappointment. Then I had to dismantle the whole thing, repackage the whole thing, and cart off to UPS. I wondered how this machine made it past quality control.

We tried the only other multi-CD changer in the affordable range and it was too slow. So we ordered this Yamaha CD-C603 and are delighted. The forward and reverse modes are excellent. We can pinpoint an exact moment on the CD and pause till we play. And 5 discs allows a lot of flexibility. All in all, highly recommended for churches, lectures, and hours of playback.

I like the fact that I can place 5 cds in the tray, press play, and enjoy music for several hours. The unit is also a good looking addition to my audio system. All in all, I am very satisfied with this product. I would recommend it to anyone looking to add convenience as well as flexible features to their audio systems. This is a well made piece of audio equipment. Yamaha has always made quality components, and this unit is no exception. Good job Yamaha, good job.
