Q: Because of the lay flat design it's difficult to curve it around plant beds is there an easy way to do this?

It is only lay flat when empty. I use landscape 'staples' to guide the hose in the pattern I want. It fills up when water is turned on and stays in place. Place the hose with the water on. we've been using the product for almost a year now. it works perfectly. my parents ages 83 & 85 are not concerned with cancer or birth defects, given they are past the age of caring if they get cancer and don't have any plans for procreation on their agendas.

You can physically connect them together, yes. The question is if you have enough water pressure for the other 50 feet to put out any water. Most likely you do but you won't be getting as much water out of the very end. I wouldn't count on this soaking plants 7 feet away. This doesn't have a micro spray or anything, it's literally dripping. You'd be better off running a 2nd hose for the plants on the far side.
