The 6lb braid is thinner than the 6lb mono but WAY stronger. Connecting the mono as a leader, to the braid is easy and seamless with the right knot. Because the braided line is thinner, you can actually spool more onto the reel, which is great if you are fishing deep or casting far. The line is four strand but just as smooth as eight strand. It cuts through the water like a hot knife through butter. Weeds are no match for the strength of the line as it cuts right through those as well. The line is not as colorfast as I would like it to be as it will fade quickly, but this is not a fashion show and I am not wearing the line, I'm fishing with it. The fish don't care if the bright yellow or neon blue lose some color they still hit the tantalizing meal presented to them on it. For the price, you can't go wrong. Buy some braid ready reels and some braid cutting snips and you will never look back. The line has almost no memory, does not stretch, and is really responsive when the fishin' is hittin'. Even when you are just tapping the bottom or banging some rocks, you will really feel each and every bump with this line. You are really going to like this line! Give it a try don't be shy!

Hello Anglers, I was asked by Cathy, a owner of Piscifun if I would provide a honest review and my opinion of the product that I purchased. I purchased the Piscifun 80lb braid in black. From the start I was a little on the fence about trying a new brand that was completely unfamiliar to me. I have in the past been a loyal customer to a brand that is very familiar to most braided line fisherman. I'm not sure if I can post the name so I'll let you fill in the blanks and most should be able to figure it out. The name is P-W-R-P-O. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about that product. In the beginning I was a little concerned about the quality of the Piscifun line due to the fact it seemed it was not color fast because it turned my fingers black when I spooled my reel. I thought for sure it would wash out as soon as I put it in the water and stain everything black while I was fishing. I was pleasantly surprised that didn't happen although, the line did eventually end up a dark grey rather than true black. I put a lot of faith in this Piscifun line trying it for the first time considering it's first test was under tournament conditions at a local Halibut derby this past weekend 5/25-5/26 2016. I was bouncing 3lb cannon ball weights with spreader bar and large herring with squid hoochie's. Didn't win 1st place but did win 2nd place with a 69.7lb Pacific Halibut for a $2500.00 prize. The Piscifun line performed beautifully with absolutely no problems. All the knots held great with no slippage and I had no break offs or any line failure at all. I plan to try more of their lines on all my salmon rods this summer and into the fall here in the NW. I would recommend Piscifun braided line to anyone that has or may be considering trying something new. I was not given anything, products, money or otherwise for this review just merely asked for an honest opinion and I'm in no way affiliated with the Piscifun company. I'm just a pleased customer. It looks nice it feels good it casts great, the thickness is perfect, it has not Tangled, my husband is happy with it will be trying a different line size for different rod

Sturdy but I cut too close to the knot and it fell apart lol just don’t cut too close and it stays, it ripped my phone case as well, just shows how sturdy it is

When I first saw this braided line in fishing forums, it honestly looked much thicker and larger than what I received. The spool is noticeably smaller in person than it appears online, which was a bit surprising at first. That said, braided lines are known for being compact while still offering great strength, so I’m hoping it performs exactly as promised. The line itself looks well-made and tightly braided, and I’m optimistic it will hold up well on the water. Only time and real use will tell, but I’m looking forward to testing its durability.
