New Star Foodservice 34523 One-Piece Cast Aluminum Round Bottom Bar Ice Flour Utility Scoop, 12-Ounce, Silver

I use these scoops for two different purposes. 1) I buy cereals and grains in bulk and store them in 5 gallon buckets. I keep scoops in each bucket to transfer to smaller containers that are handy for use. 2) I grow most of our veggies and herbs indoors, and buy coco coir, vermiculite, and perlite in bulk to mix with potting soil. I use these scoops to add these additives to the 20 lb. bags of potting soil. The 24 oz. scoop makes it so much easier to mix the additives into the soil, and to fill larger pots. The 12 oz. scoop is useful for filling smaller pots and for scooping the additives. I really like these scoops for the versatility they offer. Although they are more light weight than some of the other scoops I have, the once piece construction make them less likely to break and make them more durable. I also like the shape of the handles as they fit my hand well. I am very happy with these scoops for my purposes, and would recommend them. They are well worth the price as they will last for years. Scoops ice... does it's job

Needed a scoop for the litter bucket to fill the box with clean litter!

This is a completely functional scoop. However, there are grinder marks on the outside near the handle and on the edge. These marks are not sharp, but look so and are unattractive. The scoop was much lighter weight than expected. The metal was very slightly mottled, not just new aluminum colored. The handle is short, but that was the goal to allow it to fit in our dog food bin. Returned it yesterday. (We have a 10-15 year old scoop made in Thailand that is the same size and shape but heavier and smoothly finished. Found that described as "vintage" on eBay for $50 ha ha ha.)

Broke at handle neck after a while, probably due to the cast material used.
