works great for my new POE camera system
I just installed this in my attic as part of my new POE security camera system. It was easy - just plug 'n play - and has been working great. I was able to mount it to a 2x6 using the included rack mount parts, which wasn't ideal but seems quite sturdy. I have all 8 POE ports running 4MP cameras, and both unpowered ports are being used too.I picked this model because I ran Cat6A cable for all my cameras and wanted a switch that could utilize high speed data if necessary. I don't think it was needed for my current cameras, but I'm hoping this switch will last for a long time and possibly through future higher-def cameras. I will try and update with how it holds up through the rainy season and the summer heat etc.Update Oct 2018: we had an unusually hot summer and this has held up just fine so farUpdate March 2019: still working greatUpdate Dec 2019: almost 2 years later, it still is working great. I haven't had a single problem with it yet.Update Nov 2020: RIP switch! it lasted almost 3 years in my attic, a much less than ideal environment, so I'm not going to downgrade my rating. I haven't played around with it, but it is possible that just one of the main ports went out or something, because it still gets power it just wasn't passing on video from my cameras to my computer. I'll check it out at some point and if it was just one of the ports I'll report back, but I've already replaced it with a new switch with more ports so I can expand my camera setup.

Great Quality
Works great, Has enough POE to power newer Ubiquiti access points

No problems at all, plenty of power.
At 130 Watts, this was one of the most robust POE switches I could find. When I got it, I was impressed that it felt solid and well built. Setup was very simple and the rack mount ears worked just fine! I am powering 4 IP video cameras with it and it has enough reserve power to run 4 more! Even though I was not acquainted with this brand, I think it's a really good unit!

Simple to setup and works great!
I have a multiple server lab setup at my house and needed more gigabit ports to connect my network together and keep all of them communicating at their peak. This switch allowed for that. I also needed the POE for an aironet WiFi unit I came to own. This switch was perfect for my needs at a great price. I only gave tech support 3 stars as I have no idea how their support is, havenโt needed it. Switched worked to my expectations right out of the box.

Great with one odd exception.
Product works well, powers 8 Poe cameras with night vision. No issues there, activity lights and all work perfectly. One problem was when I tried using both uplink ports to the same unmanaged switch by my modem. It completely shut down my internet. It took hours to narrow the issue down to the use of the 2nd uplink ports, but after several tests we confirmed the issue. I still don't know why it caused the problem, I just know that it was the source. Went back to using just one uplink ports and all is well.Unfortunately there were no instructions that came with the switch to provide any insight here.Otherwise it's working absolutely flawlessly.

Works with Costco Lorex 4K nvr
I bought this so I could hide my NVR. Works great. I had to add the cameras back to the nvr even though they were already connected to the nvr previously. There was an in use with the camera password but I called Costco tech support and they connected me to lorex support right away. Any time you unplug the switch you will ha e to add the cameras back, but lorex has a RECONNECT IPC button that worked for me. Well worth the money for 1gb/s Ethernet.

Needed some POE ports, BV Tech was perfect for my needs
Simple rack and powerup for this non-managed POE switch. I used a CAT6A uplink to connect to my Cisco non-POE switch then connected a Amcrest 8-Mp POE camera and a) it powered up and b) I could see the camera on my LAN. I run my switches in a cool area (basement), with ventilation. I have not seen any issues with the BV Tech product, high quality and generates POE power expectedly.

Working great! Solved many power / camera drop issues I was having with my system. Moving my cams off the NVR's POE ports to this dedicated switch is how I should have started my build. I can now access my cams directly over the network without having to log into and through the NRV, expanding my options for software & apps and a 2nd NVR for redundancy. My NVR is now remotely hidden, not having a bundle of POE cables to it. Bonus! You can hook your NVR directly to one of the non-POE ports and the other to your Router, they don't both have to connected to the router to have a functioning switch. I bought & paid for this device out of my own pocket on a whim seeing it was cheaper than the big name devices, No Regrets!

Great PoE switch for a camera security system
I have four PoE security cameras hooked up to this.Very good value for the money. It has been running now for several months without any issues.

One out of two worked well!
Purchased 2 units and the first one has worked great so far. Powers my remote raspberry PI units fine. The second unit powered up and worked well for the first hour test, but failed to power up for a test on the second day. Have started the return process and will purchase a couple more hoping that this was just a fluke failure.
