Somersets Shaving Oil 35ml

I came across the original Somersets shaving oil in a Boots shop in the early 90's when I was travelling extensively throughout Eastern Europe on business. First I loved the small size due to the travelling. Then I fell in love with great shaves, never have gone back to foam. Then Somersets disappeared from Boots, and my travelling took me further afield. At the time I had to go to another brand, which whilst it done the job, was not as good. I now live and work in China, I could believe it when I found this on Amazon. Even better they deliver to China. This version shaves better than the original oil and has no clogging of the razor blades. Sometimes the small but important things make the start to the day, better

I bought this oil as my favourite - a French brand - became too expensive. It has taken a bit of getting used to: I find it does not adequately protect dry skin, nor does the recommended wetting of the face work for me. After the shower, however, and leaving the product on the skin for at least 30 seconds before shaving, it works really well: the shaver glides over the skin providing a close and smooth shave.

I was looking for a quality shaving oil having tired of paying fifteen pounds a pop for clinique foam. Somersets had vanished from my local Boots two years ago so I assumed they'd gone under. Delighted to find this product is still produced. It delivers a close and comfortable shave at an affordable price. Seven weeks in, I still have half a bottle left. Very good price and service from superfoods. Will be ordering again soon.

This product really changed my view on shaving. My skin is so sensitive that I had to use foam even with an electric razor. Now I have considerably less pain and I feel the freshness for hours.

This is a great product and would have had 5 stars but for price which is quite expensive. I use a Phillishave electric razor and the difference in ease of shaving and the shaved skin has to be experienced to be believed.

Shave oil tends to be one of those things left un noticed in the mach 400 blade mega gel market we have now, which is a shame. This one is excellent, it smells nice and leaves your face feeling fresh but not oily after use. I use it as a kind of primer before shave soap, and it seems to really help with burn.

Delivery was superb, product smelt very strong from the bottle reassuring medicinal & natural. Once applied a wonderful cooling feeling was felt followed by the best and closest of shaves. I use a DE blade and can honestly say, no more soap, cream or gel! This is the way forward! Fabulous product.

Ich war anfangs sehr skeptisch als ich gelesen habe, daß man lediglich einige Tropfen für die Rasur braucht, wenn man bedenkt wieviel Rasierschaum bzw. -gel man sonst braucht - zumindest ich. Ich bin ehrlich gesagt per Zufall an dem Produkt gestoßen und mußte den Text tatsächlich mehr als einmal lesen, weil ich noch nie vom Rasieröl gehört hatte. Gut, zugegeben ich habe einen starken Bartwuchs und die Haut ist mal empfindlicher mal nicht, deswegen auch das "Tough Beard Rasieröl" gewählt. Um es kurz zu machen: Ich habe mich noch nie mit so einer Leichtigkeit rasiert. Man braucht tatsächlich nur einige Tropfen, außer man rasiert sich mal für einige Tage nicht, dann muß man vielleicht noch zwei Tropfen nachträglich einmassieren und ja, richtig gelesen, nur zwei Tropfen mehr, wenn überhaupt, aber ich hätte es nie geglaubt, wenn mir das jemand erzählt hätte. Für Konturenbartträger kann ich es wärmstens weiterempfehlen, weil man keinen lästigen Schaum hat und man so die Konturen sehr gut sieht und sehr präzise rasieren kann.

Ich persönlich habe einen sehr harten und drahtigen Bart, den ich regelmäßig mit einem klassischen Rasierhobel abrasiere. Damit der Bart optimal auf die Nassrasur vorbereitet wird, reibe ich den leicht angefeuchteten Bart mit ein paar Tropfen dieses wunderbaren Öls ein. Mit Hilfe dieses Öls erzeugt man einen schützenden Film auf der Haut, der den Rasierer mühelos über die Haut gleiten lässt. Da das Öl Menthol enthält, sorgt es dafür, dass die Haut angenehm gekühlt wird. Die Pflegeeigenschaften dieses Öls sind wirklich hervorragend.

Es gibt einfach kein besseres Rasieröl als das Somersets Tough Beard Rasieröl. Preislich liegt es natürlich ganz weit oben, aber ich hatte immer "Probleme" mit meiner Gesichtshaut beim rasieren. (Rötungen, Trockene Haut usw.) Seit dem ich dieses benutze alles Tip Top und keine Probleme mehr.

Bestes Rasieröl für starken Bart und empfindliche Haut! 3-5 Tropfen reichen. Dazu verwende ich das L'Oreal Men Expert Hydra Sensitive Rasiergel. Rasurbrand und Hautreizungen gehören damit der Vergangenheit an.

Kann nur allen Nassrasierern als Öl vor der Rasur empfehlen. Es gibt kein besseres Produkt. Habe es vor vielen Jahren in Italien entdeckt
