I like lava lamps. I like rockets. This combines them both.

Product came as expected. Had other Lava lamps before. Do not listen to folks that tell you all is lost if the water is cloudy. Simple fix, hardest thing is removing the cap ( do all of this at your own risk, follow the manufactures safety recommendations, unplug unit, do not do this while hot, etc. This is what I did, do at your own risk. I removed the cap gently with a pair of pliers ( took about 1 min). Pour the water out, and rinse with cold water. Empty bottle and now fill with distilled water. Leave about 1-2 inches space on top. On a separate container, add 1 table spoon of epson salt and mix with a little distilled water. Mix until mixture is clear. Once the lamp warms you will see if the wax eithef stays at bottom or rises to to. Use the solution you made ( make a little more), outside the bottle and use a straw to add a drops at a time, the wax will now start flowing to the top. If the wax now stays on the top, add 1 drop of any clear dishwashing ( any clear liquid soap) until the wax flows as desired.

My lamp isn't full, quater inch of space between the master fluid and the base of the cap cone. Very cloudy on first flow. Cool bottle and base. Did come with extra cap cone. Wouldn't buy again as a lamp to use. But it is a good candidate for custom wax and master fluid combos if you're in the hobby. Can't recommend. Just get a Mathmos 3rd party shipped.

Lava lamp is cool looking but it arrived cloudy. I have tried every trick in the book to have it clear up with no luck. I thought eventually it would clear on its on, well over 2 months now and still cloudy.

The product packaging was damaged (not the shipping packaging), which bent the nose cone and the fuselage of the rocket. I was able to bend them back into place, but it looks like this one probably shouldn't have been shipped. Delivery was quick, and the lamp functions as advertised. Edit: Updated to four stars despite the issues above because the quality of the lamp is just so high. The lava is vivid and bright, and the fluid is clear. It heats up and starts moving faster than other lamps I've had. (I received the blue model, by the way.)

Beautiful lava lamp. Clear and brightly colored. Speaking of color, after reading the reviews of people receiving different colors than advertised I was excited to see my surprise. It was advertised blue but received a red. I’m happy either way! I’m tempted to buy another to try my luck for another color.

The lamp works and the base looks nice. However, the fluid was so milky white you couldn’t see the wax. Should have returned it but thought I’d try to fix it. Regretting that choice now.
