Perfect repair for DOWN filled Nylon vest.
My boyfriend has this hideous black down vest that I hate. His dog bit into it and cast feathers everywhere. I hoped it was the end of the ugly vest until he pleaded with me to "fix" the big chewed dog hole in his vest. The hole was about 2" long and i tried to sew it. No such luck, there were still feathers everywhere coming through. I purchased a traditional patch, but it needed to be melted on and the material of the vest was nylon, so there is no way it was going to work (would have melted the origional material.) I came across this Gear Aid GORE-TEX Fabric Repair Kit. It was my last attempt to fix this vest. Well, it worked PERFECTLY. I attached it right over my poor sewing job and then put it in a low heat dryer the next day (for about 20 min). My boyfriend was so impressed with the repair, he couldn't even FIND the repair at first. This is a wonderfully strong product that I WILL buy again if I ever get a tear in a down jacket, sleeping bag, tent, or similar structure. The item worked as specified and made for a very clean repair. My only problem now is that my boyfriend is back to wearing this hideous vest all the time....at least now there are not feathers falling out of it. :)**note: if you wanted to use this patch for a tent (or similar thin material) you would probably be best to patch both sides of the fabric. This would eliminate the sticky residue on the inside of the patch. You could set it with a low heat hair-dryer or sit in the sun for a day. It would make a great "on-the go" patch for avid hikers/campers since it is self-adhesive.

Works okay for high-stress areas of gloves, but probably better for other repairs
I repaired a tear in a pair of Gortex ski gloves, where the tear was in the notch between the thumb and the palm. That is the spot that will take the stress/friction of a ski pole or a snow shovel. I have other gloves I used for winter sports and wanted to use these for shoveling snow, cleaning snow off car, chopping wood in cold, etc. The repair has held through a few hours of shoveling snow and other outside work, and I've put them through a bunch of friction in the process. The repair patch has held, but the edges have curled a bit. That isn't surprising, given the location of the repair and the stresses I've subjected it to. I'm not sure anything else would work better, so I'm fairly pleased with being able to use the gloves again (while saving my good

Highly recommended!
My Gore-Tex bivy sack had a couple holes, the largest a tear just over 2" long and a couple other smaller holes (see photo). I purchased two of these kits. For the large hole I put the 3" round patch on the inside, both for strength and so I wouldn't have exposed adhesive on the inside of the bivy (plus, I'm a bit of a 'belt and suspenders' type of person). I then put a rectangular patch over the large hole and used a single patch to cover the two smaller holes. The adhesive seemed to hold the patches very well, and I'd be comfortable making a field repair and using it at this point. Since I was home, per the instructions, I used an iron set on medium heat to further set the adhesive (I put a piece of parchment paper between the patch and iron so I wouldn't get adhesive on the iron.) The patches seem to be very well bonded to the material and are quite flexible so I don't expect any issues, but I will update this review if I have any.

Great Repair for my Gore-Tex Rain Pants
If you look at my ratings profile, you'd probably think I give out too many 5 star reviews. While that does seem like it is the case, I really do not buy too many items from Amazon that I have not thoroughly looked at and found to be highly rated by other Amazon shoppers. These Gore-Tex fabric patches are no different. I have a camouflage Gore-Tex rain suit for hunting and recently when I was stepping over a barbed wire fence, I didn't push the fence down low enough or step over high enough and punctured a hole in my suit. I found these rated highly on Amazon and bought them. These are not too heavy a material for my rain suit, they cut to size easily and they ironed on very easily, sealing very tightly and conforming to one of the seams very well. I am very glad I found these to repair my Gore-Tex rain paints with. I bought an extra package to have on hand should I do the same thing again in the future.

Powerful patches!
My Marmot down winter coat had a few rips in it and I was tired of leaving feathers everywhere I went. I purchased these little patches and they were so easy to put on! Just peel and stick! My coat is a charcoal gray color and I ordered the black. It doesnt match perfectly, but it's better than losing my feathers! :)

It would be great if there were a few standard color options
well no one wants to get a rip in anything GORE-TEX, but it happens sometimes, especially when bicycling and pavement collide. Alas, this worked very well! Directions were clear and no issues whatsoever. It would be great if there were a few standard color options, but at the end of the day, it does exactly what its suppose to do.

Not perfect but good and fast.
Used to patch a hole in the leg of my Sweet Protection drysuit. It seems to still leak a bit, but slowly. Very easy to apply. Quite satisfactory for a home patch kit or field repair but Iโd still recommend sending in for professional repair if itโs mission critical like a drysuit. For a non-submersion garment, this is perfect.

Heavy Backpack repaired
I borrowed a backpack for my son to use on a long hike and a squirrel chewed a 1 1/2 inch hole in the bottom. Thought I would have to buy a new pack and then have the hole sewed up by a shoe repair shop. Decided to try this fix first.Because the hole was large and had ragged edges I used both patches on either side of the repair and heated it well with an iron. So well, in fact, that some of the glue on the patches seeped out and got on the iron. The patches bonded very well to the fabric and made a perfect and strong repair. The repair is very hard to see and the owner of the pack is happy with it.The glue on the iron was very tough to remove. I heated it and used some brake cleaning solvent (non-petroleum). Took lots of hard scrubbing to get it all off. I'm confident the patch will last a long time.
