Works perfectly with my Samsung out of the box. No programming even. Also love the larger size and backlighting on the buttons.

You can actually program one button at a time with this remote. It has programmable buttons for functions you cannot find on most universal remotes. The backlight is a bonus.

For the price, size, one touch pairing with my LG TV, and the backlight, I will keep it. However, the Hulu and YouTube buttons do not work and those 2 buttons were one of the main reasons I purchased the remote. I even tried troubleshooting per the instructions but they do not work. I had predetermined that, if the remote fully worked, I would order a couple more. However, since a couple of the advertised features don’t work, I will keep the one I have and just not order more. Also, since I just received it, I don’t know how the backlight will hold up. Overall a decent remote, but I can’t give it the highest rating with missing features.

This is my 3rd attempt to replace my Samsung TV remote and my Roku Box remote. The first remote worked a little bit for my TV but not for my Roku and then, after a month, only one button on it worked. The second remote was a beautiful red remote that was supposed to work with everything. It could even "learn" by pointing your old remote at it and then pressing buttons. It did not work at all. Just sent it back this week. I got this remote today and it worked the first time with my Samsung TV and my Roku box. Right now I am having problems remembering which keys replace the original remote keys but I can handle that. I just pressed the "Prime Video" key and it opened up Prime Video. It has five more "channel" keys that I have no use for and I wish I could program them for other things but this remote works for what I needed and I did not have to look up codes or try to get the remote to "learn". And so I no longer have two remotes with built in microphones that Samsung and Roku can use to listen to whatever I say. I hope they miss me but I will not miss them.

Think about what you use the most on the remote, and what you use the least - the numbers are the least, the Arrow buttons for fast forward the most. The button layout is such that this remote doesn't sit well in the hand. i.e., the arrow button array is too near the bottom to comfortably hold the remote and use those buttons . Putting the numbers at the top is a waste of that space. The mute button is too small, and it sometimes sticks. Same with some of the other buttons - they stick & have to be pried loose. When I used the Back button when watching YouTube TV it takes me to the Vizio home screen so I have to go through all that rigamarole to get back to YouTube TV again. Be nice if the YouTube preprogrammed button worked, but even if it did, it's still rigamole to get to my recorded shows. Jeez! What a pain! The pre-programmed buttons don't work and it was not programmed for my Vizio tv- i had to play around with various codes for a couple of hours trying to get it to work at a minimal level, & for sure the Netflix/Youtube/etc. buttons don't work. The Home button goes to Sling TV, which I don't subscribe to, instead of the Vizio TV home. This is after I supposedly set it up to work for my Vizio TV. Every time I google trying to troubleshoot this remote, I get a different set of codes to try. Info from the company says I may get more function if I use different codes - who's got the time for that? And I don't want it stop working all together. At one point it went completely dead and I had to figure out how to reset it out of that. The one thing I like about it is fast forward (right arrow) works better than the remote that came with my TV, even if awkward to get to this set of buttons.

The remotes arrived quickly, and the setup was easy. Unfortunately, they do not work with our Roku streaming device the way we expected. They will turn the TV on and off and control the volume, but they will not change channels while streaming. I was hoping to be able to change channels directly instead of having to scroll through them one at a time. Because they don’t meet our needs, we’ll either put them in our garage sale or return them.

Fantastic replacement remote. I am forever losing the tv remote and so I wanted one that lights up. Not only can I adjust the audio or video settings in the dark now, I can also find it on the bed when I lose it. For those reasons, I consider it to be not just a great replacement, but a great UPGRADE to the tv’s stock remote control. It was very easy to pair with my device, and even with the backlight feature, the batteries don’t have to be replaced often. I’ve already bought 3 of these. Highly recommended.

I use this with my LG OLED TV and use the AUX button to control my Panasonic bluray player. It is a lot easier to set up than previous universal remote controls I have had. The backlit feature has a powerful light and is extremely useful. I don't use the shortcut buttons, so cannot comment on them. This is a good quality remote control which is extremely easy to set up and use. I feel it is worth the cost.

Work perfectly out of the box with Samsung monitor for me. Button press is very fast and repeat for fast. Forward and skipping is also very fast no lag time Special direct buttons like Netflix or Amazon Prime worked perfectly if on OEM REMOTE, unfortunately Disney+ button does not work (but it was not included on my original OEM remote, so I’m not surprised) BACK LIGHT IS EXCELLENT AND CLEAR IN THE DARK FOR ALL BUTTONS. Definitely worth a tryout for purchase seems to be a good quality device.

Can't go wrong here. Backlit, multiple tv compatible, low cost, standard batteries. Pushed the 'Sony' button and voila it worked.
