Great reverse osmosis unit. No after-taste. No plastic taste. Very easy to use. Works perfectly.
I'm impressed by Stokk's T1 countertop machine. It works great. To me, it is much easier to set up and maintain compared to traditional reverse osmosis systems, because this countertop unit does not need any plumbing. It is also much easier to change the filters. There is no after-taste. There is no plastic taste. Another person wrote a review saying that the internal tank of this machine gives the water a plastic taste after it sits overnight, but this is NOT true. I tested this myself multiple times. There IS a temporary taste right after you change the filter, but if you flush the machine a full 6 times, then that takes care of it. That reviewer probably tasted the water without flushing it enough. I personally find that it needs to be flushed 8 full times after the filter is changed, with each flush being one full pitcher of water. That's when there is finally no after-taste. Before each flush, wait until you hear the pump stop, because then the internal tank is full. You don't want to start the flush before that. Then just hold the "faucet" button down until it starts a flush cycle. Also, I have to point out that reverse osmosis water is quite "empty". In that sense, reverse osmosis water in general has a different taste if you are not used to it. So, it can take a day or two in order to get used to the pure taste of the water. It comes with a 1-liter pitcher. When you press the "pitcher" button, it will automatically fill the pitcher to 1-liter, and then stops by itself. This takes about one minutes. While it does that, you can do other things that you would normally be doing in your kitchen. I do that multiple times in order to fill a 1-gallon jug that I have. The machine can output 4 liters of water (just over a gallon) before it needs to be re-filled. To do that, you first remove the plastic lid, which just rests on the back. Then you grab the internal handle within the water container. You first pull horizontally, backwards about two or three inches, which pops it off. Then you pull straight up, and it lifts out of the machine. The container will have some waste water in it, so dump that out first. Then, place the container into the sink. I have to tilt it slightly in order for it to fit under my faucet. Fill it with water until it reaches the line marked on the side. Actually, I regularly fill it quite a bit over the pre-marked line, and it works fine. I'm not sure why it says not to fill beyond that line, but I never had any issues. The machine is a little taller than I expected, and doesn't fit under my kitchen cabinets, but I ended up finding a spot for it. It is 16.25 inches tall, but you also want a bit extra clearance since you need to move the machine every time you have to change the water container at the back of it, which will usually be once per day. Afterwards, you put the container back into the machine, in the exact reverse order that you took it out. First, tilt it a little bit, in the same way it was before. Lower it down. After it makes contact with the base, now just push it forward horizontally, while making sure that the two "connectors" on the side are properly aligned. After it is fully pushed forward, put the plastic cap back on, which just keeps dust out. Right away, the machine starts automatically pumping the internal tank with filtered water. Personally, I don't use the mineral filter that it comes with. I just get gallon jugs of spring water from the store, and I add about 1/8 of a gallon into each gallon of reverse-osmosis water that I put into my gallon jug. That adds enough natural minerals into it. Some reviewers are saying that the filters were not in stock, but that was just a temporary 6 week issue. The filters are back now. There was simply an issue with that particular batch of filters. It is not something that regularly happens. They have taken measures to ensure that it won't happen again. Still, it is a good idea to order your filters three months before you will need more. To save money, use the subscribe & save option. I've been using this machine for one year now, and everything is working perfectly. If that ever changes, I'll make an update here. I finally just changed my carbon and PPC filter for the first time. The water still tasted perfectly, but I decided to change them because the filter lights had turned red, and then a few weeks later they began flashing red. Changing the filters was easy. There's a youtube video showing you how. Just search youtube for "Stokk T1 Replace Reverse Osmosis Filters". Basically, you pull out the white foam thing on the bottom of the filters. Then you just unscrew the filter by turning it counterclockwise. Put the new filter in, and turn it clockwise. So, give this unit a try. You can always return it for free if you don't like it, which is why I decided to try it. I'm glad I did.

Great product, but poor on customer service. (DON'T BUY THIS)
Upon my friend’s recommendation, I purchased this product around August this year. Since then, I’ve been facing an E1 issue. These are the steps I’ve gone through, and they’ve made me really frustrated. I’m sharing this to warn others before they decide to buy this product. Very disappointed. I submitted the customer service form and didn’t hear back for several days. I decided to call them after waiting. They weren’t apologetic at all about the delay and just told me to go through a long troubleshooting process (about 9 steps). They also sent me a descaling kit by mail. I did everything they said, but the E1 error still appeared. That process wasted another week of my time. The descaling kit itself took me almost an hour to complete — not to mention how tiring it was. I called again today, and this agent was so unprofessional. Her name was Liza or Lisa—whatever. She kept asking me what I had done to fix the issue. I told her I already completed the troubleshooting and used the descaling kit. She wanted me to explain each step I did, one by one. I told her, “There are 9 steps—do you really want me to go through every single one?” I started reading them but then said, “This is ridiculous. Just process the warranty.” Then she asked which email I got the troubleshooting steps from. I told her, and she said, “That’s not right.” I said, “What? This is the email your agent sent me—what are you talking about?” Then she tried to twist my words, saying I told a previous agent the E1 issue started from the day I bought the product in August. I corrected her, saying I never said that. The E1 issue started appearing about 3 to 4 weeks ago. She insisted, claiming they had a record from my last call. I emphasized again, “I didn’t say that—don’t put words in my mouth.” Finally, she told me to send an email to their warranty team with a video recording of the E1 error appearing on the screen. I asked her to just proceed with the warranty and asked why she was making it so complicated. She said, “It’s not complicated.” This is so unprofessional. This isn’t how customer service should work. I didn’t pay for this product to deal with more stress—first from the product itself, and now from their poor customer support process. I honestly doubt their warranty team will give me a replacement. I’ll update you guys if they do.

Buy this!!! Best on the market and here is why
What a sexy little machine! Finally I can drink water without worrying about poisoning myself! I did a ton of research before purchasing The Stokk T1 RO system and I can confidently say I think I have one of the best units on the market not only in this price point but in the higher price points available for purchase online. Things I love about this machine: 1- this thing looks so pretty sitting on the counter! 2- water is absolutely delicious, pure and flavorful! Full of minerals and is alkaline as well! 3- tank capacity is huge compared to competitors so you're not always having to refill your tank. 4- machine operation is whisper quiet! 5- there is less waste with this machine then it's competitors. 6- the company left all of the other little gadgets out that you typically see on other machines and dispenses in a single glass picture for Simplicity and streamlining. 7- display is simple and easy to use. It even shows you how clear the water is that's being dispensed! 8- the filters are affordable too! So no getting sucked in with a low upfront price only to have it cost you on the back end. 9- USA based customer support! If you're not already putting this filtration system in your cart for purchase you're totally missing out on an amazing product. I don't get any perks or commissions for this review I just really appreciate a well engineered product and this is definitely that and the price was incredible too! So so happy!! I'm no longer perpetually dehydrated and actually enjoy drinking water probably for the first time in my life.

Good tabletop water conditioner
I use it extensively. Water taste much better. One of the cons ,- you have to take off the water tank to refill, which requires some force. But I guess its true for all tabletop units

Potential for air binding and its fix
Overall, I like the product, but BEWARE I bought two units and the instruction manuals were different. I bought the replacement unit because the first one, bought a few months ago, would not work. I assumed that it was beyond repair. However, after reading the instruction manual that came with the SECOND UNIT it added a comment that said to remove and reinstall the RO filter if it will not pump. Notably, this small comment was MISSING from the manual that accompanied the first unit. Now I have two units and they both work. Notably, the system is prone to air binding, which is not too difficult to fix. After I had the same issue with the second unit, Stokk sent me an email that provided instructions to remove the air binding problem. The below is a part of their email: The following reasons may be the cause of E1 error: 1. Continuous water filtration protection. Please long press the Faucet button to empty the pure water tank, plug in the power again after 3 minutes of power outage, and exit the protection mode. 2. There is air in the machine pipeline, resulting in slow water filtration. Please take out 3 filters and let them stand for 2 minutes before reinstalling. 3. The spring at the base of the unit is scaled and cannot rebound. Please clean the scale and try to press the spring repeatedly to make it rebound freely. 4. The water tank is not installed in place. Press the water tank firmly to fit it completely. 5. The loss of the float causes the water level sensor to fail. Check that the float and rubber plug in the water tank are still in place. 6. The water tank filter is clogged. Please clean the filter and reinstall it. So, yes, I like the two units now adorning my kitchen. It was a strange process finding out how to clear the air binding problem, but I hope it was worth it going forward. Other than this issue, the system works fine and the water seems very pure. The overall quality of the unit is good (fit and finish).

Great Tasting Water with Alkaline Boost and Easy Setup!
The Stokk T1 UV Countertop Reverse Osmosis Water Filter has exceeded my expectations! The water tastes crisp, clean, and noticeably better than regular tap water. The 6-stage RO filtration process, combined with the UV and alkaline boost, provides high-quality drinking water that feels smooth and refreshing. Excellent Filtration and Alkaline Boost The six stages of filtration, including the RO and UV light, ensure that the water is thoroughly purified. The alkaline boost is a nice touch, adding minerals back into the water for a healthier pH balance. I’ve noticed a difference in both taste and how it feels to drink. Convenient and Space-Saving The countertop design is compact and perfect for smaller spaces without sacrificing filtration quality. It was easy to set up and didn’t require any complex installation or plumbing. Easy-to-Use Carafe The carafe is convenient and simple to refill. It also pours smoothly without spilling, which is a plus. I love that I can just grab it and have high-quality water available right away. Overall, the Stokk T1 is a fantastic choice for anyone wanting great-tasting, purified water without the hassle of a full under-sink installation. Highly recommend it!

I WAS happy I have clean water to drink
I ended up returning this item. I bought a replacement but immediately it ended up as a broken one, too. It was so promising and I really liked the filtration system, however, it does not last long. Ok, update: January 16 2025 from original review in November 2024 (See new video. I have to remove my original video because it won’t allow me to upload 2 videos) I deducted one more star because all of a sudden, my Stokk has been very noisy whenever it is on Filter mode. the reading suddenly came up to 26ppm today and it stayed on “Filter Mode”. The filters are not due to be changed and I am waiting ror customer service to respond. It is only about 4 months old so I am not expecting for this to happen at all. Original Review November 2024: I’ve had this for 2 months now and never had an issue with the water. 1. Installation was easy. I followed the directions and never had problems with leak. I, however, did the initial procedure twice… just because lol. 2. I wish I can connect it directly to the water line and drain. This is the reason for the 1 minus star. Out of 6L max, you will get much less since, there will be “waste”. 3. I get 2 ppm lowest reading which is impressive for a small filtration system. I observed that if beyond 9, it alarms to change. I am happy that it has UV feature as I am concerned most about GI issues. 4. The RO system is actually very sturdy and hopefully lasts long. I like the very modern color and design and it matched with my appliances. 5. Taste- After initial set up and “flushing” the system, I did not notice any particles, after taste, odd/unusual taste. It’s been two months and I am happy to report that the water tastes clean, no GI issues and the machine is still working!

Can’t Buy Critical PPC Replacement Filter?
I’ve purchased 3 T1 Stokk water purification machines (2 gifts and 1 for myself) and have been pleased with my purchases until now. And it comes down to the need for the routine maintenance of buying a replacement PPC filter for my machine, that albeit highly critical in the purification process is neither listed here on Amazon or at the Stokk Store. Will someone from Stokk please respond to advise me as to why the T1 PPC filter is not currently available and when it will be available for my purchase? ****** Also, I’ve been getting an E1 Error Code pretty routinely now and understand this may mean the machine needs to be descaled. However, the descaling kit for the Stokk T1 Countertop RO machine (https://us.amazon.com/Stokk-Descaling-Filter-Ensures-Efficient-Filtration/dp/B0FC2QW89M#) is also unavailable and it seems may not become available. ****** I don’t consider it a good business practice to discontinue selling necessary filters and cleaning kits for the T1 countertop RO system making them worthless. Will you please remedy these problems or provide refund or replacement?
