Great fun playing with my Grandchildren.

Wicked fun
Bought for 5 year old granddaughter who really enjoyed it. Although upset at losing part of her fairy when a pixie card was drawn, she really enjoyed stealing parts of mine when she drew a pixie card. A game lasted about half an hour. It was easy to learn and fun to play.

Three levels of play. Teaches strategic thinking.
On opening the sturdy box (roughly 16.5cm x 22.75cm x 6cm), I was impressed to discover all the play pieces are equally as solid. There are 4 playing boards (for some reason these are all double sided!) which measure 15.3cm x 21.5cm each. Then you have a total of 49 playing cards, which each measure 4.7cm x 6.8cm - a nice size for small and larger hands. And a special token piece (the fairy dust), plus a spinner (which also comes with the plastic spin piece). All the card parts are about 3mm thick. You take it in turns to pick a card, and then perform the appropriate action with it - which could be placing it on your playing board or discarding it, or taking a piece from someone else or extras from the pile. The aim of the lowest level is to build a Magic Faerie and get the magic dust - but even this can be played at two levels by either earning the dust for completing your playing card or completing it and then using the spinner each turn until they land on the colour of a specific piece on their board. There are two other levels to the game described on the enclosed instruction leaflet, both of which introduce the concept of strategic thinking and play - and I feel this means the game will last a lot longer than many others that are suitable for a child of 3 (the youngest age this is targeted at). The box says for 2-4 players, but (as some of the moves involve taking cards from another players board) I feel it does really need at least 3 players - especially if playing a higher level to work on the strategic thinking. When I requested this I though the price of £14.99 was possibly a bit much for a 'simple' game, but having received it (and seen the quality, and the different levels of play) I'm much happier with that price point. I would certainly consider buying it for a child of 3 or 4 where my budget for their gift would cover this - or as a combined gift for siblings of a similar age.

Great fairy board game
The art style in the game is really nice and brightly coloured, and drawn very clearly. The pieces are make from thick, quality card and then quality of the game as a whole is excellent. The game itself is fun, and there are several variation on the rules, which is great for both replay-ability, as well as giving an easier method of player for my younger child. There is a mechanic of stealing other players cards straight off their board, courtesy of Trixie Pixie, which can be a source of frustration for some kids. There are quite a lot of cards in the game, and when a new game is made the card pile is quite high and a little tricky to shuffle so many thick cards. We found it easiest to spread the cards around on the table to shuffle them, and then build the card stack after.

Funny Fairies Game
My 4 year old niece loves fairies and thought this would be ideal for her however she hasn't got much of an attention span for level 2 or 3 of the game and just likes to sit there and make her own funny fairy combinations using the various fairy puzzle pieces. I'm hoping in time when she is a little older that she can play the game to it's full potential however at the moment she's happy just to make her own fairy designs. The pieces of the game are durable and have been well constructed. I love the concept of this game and how it grows with the child and has been cleverly thought out.

A big hit with our 5 year old!
First impressions of this were good, the box has a nice design to it which instantly got our daughter’s attention. The instructions were straightforward, and we had the game set up in no time, which is always a plus when you have an eager kids ready to play! The game is simple enough to follow and our daughter really loves playing it and creating the various different fairies. From a parents perspective I like how there’s different levels of difficulty to choose from so it can suit kids of various ages. Overall we really enjoy playing this game and I’m pleased we got it so I’d be happy to recommend it!

3-5 age range
This is a sweet little game and quick to play. I’d say the age range is more 3-5 though,as my 6 year old didn’t find it particularly captivating.
