Hive House Hot Honey

I was referred to this honey by a social media baker influencer. It's worth all the hype! Unlike most other hot honeys that are literally honey and cayenne pepper, this also has vinegar and a bit of sunflower oil which gives it an umami taste when you drizzle it on just about everything. It's so delicious it's addicting!

HHH is the perfect balance of sweet and heat. The natural honey flavor blends seamlessly with a kick of spice, making it incredibly versatile, delicious on pizza, fried chicken, or even drizzled over cheese. It’s smooth, flavorful, and adds just the right amount of excitement to any dish.

This one seems to nail all three factors. Flavor. Off the charts. Heat. Perfect. Texture. You can actually see the ground chilis in this one. The grit it has, has put this one over the top for me.

Doesn’t have much of a honey taste. Overwhelming heat. Viscous consistency lessens appeal. More like a sauce than honey.

Tasty honey with a mild honey flavor and a good amount of heat. Not so much heat that it overwhelms but strong enough to make itself known and linger. The overall flavor is great but this is coming from someone who doesn't enjoy a strong honey flavor. It is thinner than a typical honey, similar to mass market pancake syrup.

Pretty good alternative to the other big hot Honey brands. It comes in a simple squeeze bottle in an eye catching yellow color with simple but colorful logo and text. It's a standard consistency with the floral sweetness of Honey and the mild kick of chili. I use it on avocado toast or eggs but the choice is up to you! 11.99 at the time of purchase and it gets you a good 11 ounces of sweet and spicy honey.
