My review
I like this product it works well with my older model unit which is a perfect fit, easy to use and it works great catching mosquitoes. This product was a great price and doesn't have a smell. Will definitely purchase again.

Item is completely dry, unfortunately with no active ingredient.
Although bought on July 2024, first package was opened on Jn 2025. The item was packed in sealed package, however it doesn't have any attracting smell, whatsoever. Overall I bought 5 unit, and the return window is now closed.

game changer!
I've been using the Octenol attractant for my bug zapper, and it's been a game changer! This product really works, significantly reducing the number of mosquitoes and other flying insects around my patio. The instructions are straightforward, and the attractant is easy to use. Despite a slight initial smell, it quickly dissipates, leaving only the effectiveness behind. I love spending time outdoors without constantly swatting bugs away. This attractant has made my summer evenings so much more enjoyable. Highly recommend it for anyone dealing with pesky mosquitoes!

Just what I needed to attract more mosquitos to their final destiny in my bug zapper!
This product contains a phermone called Octenol which mimics human breath and attracts not only all types of mosquitoes but also no-see-ums and black flies. It is for use in bug zappers and other bug traps such as the Mosquito Magnet. There are 2 sealed packets of the attractant included per box. For outdoor use you will need to use both of them but for indoor use only one is required to be effective. They can last for up to 30 days once opened so keep the packets sealed until ready for use. It will be interesting to see how much noisier my bug zapper is outside at night and hopefully I will be able to see a lot more dead mosquitos in the trap. The instructions state to poke some holes in the foil packet but there is a plastic tray in each packet that needs removed and the foil lid removed (see product pics) for best results. I am really looking forward to using these in my bug zapper this summer outside my house here in rural southern Colorado especially since I am allergic to mosquito bites which swell up quite a bit and last for days. I am one of their main targets since I have their favorite type of blood! Those pesky insects are not out yet where I live but will be in the next month or two so I have not yet had a chance to test them out. Therefore I cannot comment on any recommendation yet, however I believe these will be very effective.

Did not improve mosquito trapping
I tried this in a dynatrap and saw little improvement in mosquito catches. This season has been awful for mosquitoes as well.It seemed to attract moths and small beetles more than mosquitoes. Overall a waste of money for mosquitoes, IMO. That said, I did have less codling moth and curculio damage to my apples this year....

Confusing directions, funky smell, but works!
I use a Dyna-trap bug trap on my patio. I use it primarily for no-see-ums this time of year and then mosquitos later in summer. I have always added octenol lures to help attract them. My previous bulk option is no longer available so I decided to try these out. The instructions tell you to poke holes in the cover but it is easily peeled off to reveal holes in the lure so I did that. That also was how my old ones worked. Whether poking holes is as affective I don't know. It is working well as is so I will keep doing it that way. This are helping to bring in and trap the no see ums so I am happy with their performance.I did notice after opening that these have an odd smell to them. I have used octenol before and know it's smell. These have a funky sort of foul smell but after running for a bit that disappeared. I would use caution if you are planning on using these in an indoor trap though. Other than that they work so I am happy.
