Works well

I replaced a Propane system on my River House with Black Steel Pipes. It was a 75 year old house with multiple types of pipes of Galvanized, Brass, Copper. The good Lord obviously didn’t need the previous owner, since I found leaks leading from the Supply line from tank to the foundation and had followed the gravel over the back side of the house French drains. At the point of delivery looked great until it entered the crawl space where Copper pipers were twisted and attached to Galvanized Piping and associated fittings. An explosion waiting to happen! No 2 stage Regulator at POD. Entering the house. I found where Propane was leaking into the ground with all the dirt turned White in red clay soil. Propane pressures coming from the tank is 10 pounds per square inch. After we purchased the house my Wife could smell a gas odor inside the house using a gas appliance. With no Regulator reducing the Tank pressure entering the house it was pushing excess pressures across the burners causing the flames to struggle to stay lite, literally pushing gas pass the burners. Imagine the leaks entering through the ground at the French Drains, plus excessive pressure passing over the burner’s exhaust into the house? That’s an explosion waiting to happen. Not to mention the prior owners excessive cost of Propane loss over years? Fire and safety was a must so I converted this house existing gas system fro a 10 PSI to a 2 Pound System. And placing at each Gas Appliance with the Maxitrol 325-3L Regulator. Now this allows me to add all the additional Appliances without the worries of undersized piping, thus starving the gas system due to lack of gas volume. These Regulators are great providing the low pressure needed for each appliances
