ROCKBROS Rear Bike Rack Full Quick Release, Adjustable Pannier Rack

I was on the lookout for a carrier for my 29" wheel mtb, I wanted one that could carry heavy weight (for shopping). The reviews of this carrier were positive so i ordered, delivery was quick. Item arrived with no damage and as described. The only downside that there is with this carrier is the lack of instructions, having said that it is not rocket science, 35 minutes after opening the box, it was fitted to my bike. The carrier itself (though light) seems to be strong and sturdy, depending on what bike you have you will have to do a bit of adjustment on the carrier to get a good fit. There is alot of adjustment available on the carrier. I have also fitted two pannier bags (2 x 30L) onto the carrier. Overall, very happy with the carrier, easy to fit and excellent value for money. clever design as it allows for adaptation for different bikes.

This does the job and seems robust ,and it is not complicated to fit, but is fiddly. Very small parts need holding in exactly the right place to then tighten. You can see what needs doing, but it takes a few attempts to get each fixing lined up, and they're easy to drop. So as long as you don't mind that - and if you have good eyesight and a steady hand, go for it!

Tools & all parts came as described. The product was relatively easy to build, the video from the seller gives you an idea of how it’s meant to look etc. So that’s fine. Naturally the nuts & bolts are quite fiddly for myself with my knackered hands however it wasn’t much of an issue. Haven’t mounted panniers on it as of yet, but the overall design seems like it’ll do the job just fine. Price is okay, similar to Halfords and it seems pretty universal given the amount of adjustment available.

I wanted a rack to as a minimum attach my D-lock to, but also a bag or panniers. It came with the Allen keys and a little wrench to connect everything up and also a bungee cord which is handy for attaching the lock with. Quality seems fine. Pretty easy to assemble; skills required are to be able to hold a nut whilst tightening an allen key, so you don't need to be a genius of construction. It's not an object of beauty, but bike racks aren't in general. All in all very happy with it, will update should anything occur to affect the rating.

Now I must not be the most clever guy in the world when it comes to DYI but seriously this product is a joke to be installed by anyone. After spending 3 hours trying to assemble by myself I had to take it to a bike shop to be done as most bolts and nuts are either the wrong size or the holes are the wrong size. The guys at the bike shop probably thought I am a completely idiot but who cares. Only kept it for the great quality and sturdiness. Still have to try it with a bag on and of course check how it behaves on the road but NEVER AGAIN I’LL BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS BRAND due to poor instructions and missing/wrong items. I’ll come back once I’ll try on the road.

I returned this as I wasn’t impressed. First of all there were no instructions provided. It wasn’t terribly hard to put together, but was quite fiddly and harder than it needed to be. Secondly the design of it doesn’t allow for a rear light to be mounted. There is a reflector mount, which a reflector slips into, but it doesn’t have the standard 50mm mounting points for a light. Another issue is that the rockbros pannier bags don’t work well with this rack. The tube that the bags clip onto is too thin to hold it securely. One positive is that the materials themselves are fine for the price. They seem sturdy enough. Overall though I would not recommend.

Arrived on time. Rack bit fiddly to fit but once in place and secured did not move when riding. Had this for commuting to and from work over the South Downs and then along the under cliff coast path, over winter it all held up to daily weather and different terrain. But that might have been to much about 3 months into new year rack broke.

Ich bin von diesem Gepäckträger total begeistert. Er hat jetzt 2x 1 Woche lange Radtouren mit großen und schweren Seitentaschen sowie Schlafsäcke und Zelt oben drauf problemlos überstanden. Echt super für den Preis.

Ormai se devo prendere qualcosa qui per la bici é sempre ROCKBROS! Mi trovo bene e il rapporto qualità/prezzo é ottimo! Questo portapacchi ha fatto il suo lavoro egregiamente sulla via franchigena per 3 giorni, se si ha un po’ di manualitá é facile da montare ma in ogni caso é molto intuibile! non si é mai svitato niente e ha retto a tutti i colpi sulle strade bianche. Che altro posso dire se non ottimo prodotto!
