My samsung tv already upscales to 4k and there's no option to disable it. What happens when both my tv and this player are upscaling regular blurays?

having the 2017 Samsung 55 inch 8000 4k uhd paired with this player, I've had no issues. The picture and sound are pretty amazing for the price.
