A Must-Read for Percy Jackson Fans!
The Sun and the Star is a brilliant addition to the Percy Jackson universe that will captivate readers from start to finish. As a longtime fan of Rick Riordan's work, I was eager to dive into this latest adventure, and it did not disappoint. The story follows familiar characters, but with fresh twists and exciting new challenges. The dynamic between the characters is as engaging as ever, filled with humor, heart, and a sense of camaraderie that fans will love. The new characters introduced are well-developed and add depth to the narrative. It is a fantastic read that will appeal to both longtime fans and newcomers to the Percy Jackson series. It's a thrilling, heartwarming adventure that stays true to the spirit of the original books while bringing something new to the table. Highly recommend!

Amazing
Nico is my favourite character so when I found out there was going to be a book about him I had very high expectations and this book did not disappoint! In all the previous books, Nico and Will’s relationship isn’t really spoken about much apart from the characters acknowledging that they are dating so I really enjoyed that is this book we got to learn more about them as a couple and as individuals. I would 100% recommend this book!

Love Rick riordan
Uncle Rick can’t write a bad book. I loved being back in this world and with Nico and Will getting the spotlight. I loved seeing Bob and small Bob again and I absolutely freaking adore the coco puffs!! I wasn’t thrilled with Tartarus as a setting, I didn’t love it last time either, it’s too dark and sad for me (i’m clearly a child of Apollo like Will) but even with that I still loved It

The book of the year
Not only is about Percy Jackson's world ( we even have a dialogue btw Nico, Will, Percy, Annabeth and Percy's mother in the beginning of the book) but also the book is dedicated to Nico di Angelo and Will. Both Rick R and Mark O, thank you so much for this book, because we got to know more about Nico - still one of my favorite characters - and to know more about Will. In previous books, Will was a secondary character, a character that we got only moments and little pieces but in this book, we really got to know Will a lot more and i fell in love with him also. Not only he is Apollo's son (one of my favorite greek gods), but i loved everything about him. Nico and Will are perfect for each other, i love the book since it's beginning until it's last chapter and both authors know how to mix humor - the same humor we are used to in Percy and Apollo's books - but also the adorable interactions btw the couple, the dialogues, the new characters we got to know in their trip to hell, the troglodytes and the bull and their interactions were amazing 😆🤣 and last but not least, BOB and the Cat 😍🧐 Perfection!!! That ending though🤔 Can we have another book with Bob and the Cat??? That would be awesome, specially if we got more Nico, Will, Percy and more loved characters in the adventure. Count me in 👍👍

Excellent books for teens, highly recommend.
My teenage son has read 24 of Rick Riordan's books (as you can see!) and said that this book was hands down the BEST one of them all. We currently have The Court of the Dead and Wrath of the Triple Goddess eagerly on pre-order and he can't wait!

Amazing read
I’ve read all of the Percy Jackson books and I was always obsessed with them so as soon as I heard about this book it was ordered immediately, I was expecting the same content as the majority of the other books and I wasn’t disappointed there was the action and the tense scenes that are in all of the other books and due to that it made reading terribly easily, although I did find as Will is more of a side character in the majority of the books it almost felt like I was reading a fanfiction, which I’m not angry about, because it meant it had the romance between the two but it did feel a little bit off

BEST PJO BOOK EVERR
Okay where do I even start!? The story was peak. So was the pacing and EVERYTHING ABOUT THE BOOK!! Some may say Mark or Rick himself “mischaracterized” Nico, but do remember, this is NICO’s POV!! Everyone else sees him as emo dark dude, but hes clearly much much more!! Go for ittt

A great side story, with old familiar characters
The Percy Jackson universe has been with me since I was 12. I've been eagerly awaiting a story in Nico's perspective since Blood of the Olympus. Now it is here and I am thrilled! I think it's good that Rick Riordan brought in an author who has a clue in the queer genre. The thoughts, fears and problems that plague Nico are very well described. The story is suspenseful, somewhat predictable, but that's not the point. The main theme of the story is not to leave oneself behind, to be able to rely on others and to leave behind things that cannot be changed. You also notice here that a lot of the theme of searching for oneself and dealing with being queer is addressed, which is a very nice touch. I can recommend the book if you have already read all the other books, otherwise a nice story!

Lost the story trying to be woke
The great storylines and funny stories that Rick riordan usually has is not in this book. They tried to make a “relevant” story and lost all the magic. Waste of my money

Not as good as expected but still love it.
First, I would like to state that I was one of the so many fans who was waiting for Solangelo book for so long. So, seriously, even this book contained all the elements I dislike, those are: 1. Co-writing. This made me feel that Nico's (and Will's) personality was unstable. The only case that co-writing-book will work in my opinion is that the authors write different characters. As you can feel. We have a no-nonsense Nico in one part (or chapter) and a sweet and playful Nico in the other. I have never liked co-written-book, and this one is another proof. I also don't think Percy and Annabeth had these many sweet moments. It's quite disconcerting (within this universe). 2. Too many flashbacks (and dreams. Oh so many dreams). Not only too much but also very long. A good amount of flashbacks (or dream sequences) are nice, but when it became too much, it made me feel a bit irritated. I want to know how the story will advance, not staying in the past too long. Well, I will admit that in this book some flashbacks are necessary, but still think it didn't have to be that long. 3. Stories are told in many timelines and in many directions. This exhausted me. You have present situations, and then you have something like the result in the future, and then you have flashbacks. Like, you are reading a very serious situation and you are drawn into it, but just turning the page and you got a very light-hearted, lovely and sweet scene. And this repeated. Emotionally exhausted. Plain and simple. BUT, because this is Nico and Will and Bob's story, all are good. Will and Nico, Light and Darkness. The sky above and the underground. The first time Mr.Riordan set these two together I was filled with hope for their own stories and adventures. There are so many aspects and anything you can use this contrast in the plot. This book came out not as good as I have been expecting, but still good enough. PS1. This book is definitely not a Stand-alone. If you want to understand what's going on, you at least must read 11 books before this. 5 from the Percy Jackson series, 5 from the Heroes of Olympus series, and at least book 5 of the Apollo series. You may feel a bit discouraged, but please believe me, you will not regret it. They are worth every cent of your money and every minute of your time. PS2. Bob and Small Bob, I am So happy to be able to meet you again. And I hope I can still see you again somewhere. PS3. Anyone who was expecting many humorous moments, like in Percy's series or Apollo's series, will be a bit disappointed. After all, it is Nico's book. Especially, Nico in Tartarus.
