I think it helps this story came from book so the characters were more nuanced than the typically written scripts by screen writers. This was not a formulaic story. A Sweet Country Movie
Actors were complete unknowns to me, except Peter Cambor. Alex Roe, Jessica Rothe, Abby Ryder Fortson are all new to me and they all did an excellent job in this movie. I think it helps this story came from book so the characters were more nuanced than the typically written scripts by screen writers. This was not a formulaic story. Excellent movie to watch with the family. Loved the music and singing.

This is a great feel-good movie! I think I've watched it at least 30 times. Sure, I can think of some criticisms, but overall it's a fantastic show! Thank you to all those involved in the production.

Veramente un bel film, che ho visto e rivisto grazie a Prime Video fino a quando è stato disponibile. Purtroppo non c'è il DVD o BluRay in italiano, francamente non si capisce il perché, pertanto ho acquistato questa versione in inglese. Anche se non è il mio genere, non potevo non averlo nella mia videoteca.

Yep, it’s in German and there are German subtitles - but can easily switch to English + no subtitles, just a few button presses and off you go - perfect! Audio is great too if you’ve a decent system. Get the tissues out, it’s a nice story, good date night idea 😊 Enjoy.
