Excellent, easy to use and most importantly brilliant for learning stererochemistry including, E/Z, R/S isomerism, excellent bit of kit must buy for all chemistry students.

DS loved it. Not too stiff to take apart.

Set gives a nice choice of ball & stick or quasi-space-filling models.Slight difficulty with short links - hard to fit into some C(sp2, 5-hole) & C(sp3, 4-hole) atoms.Lack of sp2 (5-hole) N is a limitation - e.g. can't make flat peptide bond.Halogen atoms (Cl,Br,I) are too small ! At 17mm, they're smaller than the 19mm "molydome" H atoms. Should be *at least* as big as C/N/O atoms (23mm).

I have a few molymod sets for different purposes and also "copy" sets that are not original molymod but seem to work and be of the same quality. I brought this particular set as I needed the special carbon atoms which you can attach p-orbitals in order to work out stereochemistry of cycloadditon reactions.The quality of this particular set seems really poor, you have to use brute force to get the majority of the single bonds to go into the carbon atoms, I tried quite a lot of them and most are the same. When I am paying £22.00 for plastic balls and sticks I expect good quality, I am not sure if their standards have slipped or if this set was a one of dud, whatever the reason I expected more from the original brand.I am going to be returning for either a refund or replacement.

Ottimo prodotto che mio figlio, appassionato di chimica, sta usando regolarmente. Lo consiglioi a tutti gli appassionati di chimica e in particolare a coloro che desiderano "dare una forma" alla chimica!

Ich habe den Molekülbaukasten vor 1,5 Jahren gekauft (Dez. 2016) und kann keinen Verschleiß feststellen. Die Teile sind gut verarbeitet und die Bindungen sehr biegsam. Es ist eine Anleitung vorhanden, welche Farben welchen Elementen entsprechen. Für Kohlenstoff (schwarz) sind zwei verschiedene Oxidationszahlen vorhanden.Zum Teil ist es schwierig die Bindungen wieder aus dem Element zu entfernen. Dafür ist ein kleiner Plastikriegel vorhanden, der über die Bindung gelegt wird und als Hebel fungiert.Für größere Moleküle, die vorallem für die organische Chemie relevant werden, ist der Umfang des Molekülbaukastens zu klein. Der Vorteil von Molymod-Baukästen ist jedoch, dass sie mit beliebig vielen weiteren Molymod-Baukästen, die auf verschiedene Bereiche konzipiert sind, erweiterbar sind. Ich habe diesen Stereochemie-Kasten mit einem Anorganische-Chemie-Kasten kombiniert.Aus diesem Grund habe ich mich gegen ein billigeres noname-Produkt entschieden.Fazit: Für Chemie-Studenten eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
