Easy to use with quick results.
Live in a senior park and wanted to test the water. Ours tested negative so what a relief. We chose this kit because it was easy to use with quick results. The price was in our budget. We have a spare to use again. All in all I think the 5 stars is a fair rating.

Unsure
I bought this test because my water started to smell weird and feel slimy coming from my two bathroom sinks. The tests came up negative. I also have agar plates (petri dishes with nutrient medium) for various reasons at home, so I decided to pour some of that same sink water on separate plates. Each sink's plate grew *several* different colonies of mold, with a little bacteria speckled here and there, but very little. With the odor, slimy feeling, and visual proof on petri dishes, I bleach shocked my entire well system, and that solved everything. In short, I don't know if I didn't have enough bacteria, the kinds of bacteria the kit tests for, or my problem was just mold. That said, I compared this kit to the others on Amazon and chose this one because of its sensitivity, and some other things I'm forgetting because it's been a while. In any case, I'd buy this kit again, over the others.

Satisfactory testing kit
Waited 3 days and the water tested negative. Added some goop from the kitchen sink drain and 3 days later the sample changed to green indicating positive test. So I would say the kit is legit and can be trusted.

Quick and easy
I have a spring that I get my house water from. I get it tested once a year, but this little test kit has been a great and inexpensive way to keep a closer eye on the water quality. The test itself is pretty straightforward and easy to do. Great for a little more peace of mind.
