Plugable USB 3.0 Universal Docking Station for Windows, macOS, ChromeOS (Dual HDMI Monitors or DVI/VGA, Gigabit Ethernet, Audio, 6 USB Ports)

This Docking station I bought to link to 4K monitors to my HP Laptop. No noticeable lagging in the speed. No noticeable excessive heat buildup. Connecting it was a breeze with the included cables that gave me options. Power supply isn’t to large, and the Docking Station itself is relatively small and fits on my desk with out taking up much real estate. Also like that I can plug in my peripheral equipment like mouse and wireless keyboard to the docking station instead of the laptop top. One cable handles it all from the docking station to my laptop. Only complaint is that it should have had 2 built in HDMI instead of having to use the blu gin that came with it. It would make the profile sleeker and standard. The adapter plug should be reversed, so it plugs into an HDMI and creates the old VGA or whatever that connection i rather than plug into VGA to convert to HDML. Just my opinion, but a quality plug and play station.

UPDATE AS OF 3/23/2025: Still going strong & working very well! TLDR: Bought a different brand originally, it was awful, returned that one and got this one instead and it's been great. I originally bought this brand's below: "USB Docking Station GIQ USB C HUB USB 3.0 to Dual HDMI VGA Adapter Triple Display USB C Laptop Docking Station Dual Monitor HDMI Splitter Extender Compatible with MacBook M1 M2 M3 USB Dock-Grey" BUT! It was TERRIBLE. Long story short, I needed an adapter to work for both laptops I use - one for my contract role (their laptop) and my personal laptop that I do separate contract work on. With the brand above, the mouse would jump around, move slow, not select the right things, keyboard wouldn't always be recognized, etc. It was a PAIN. WHAT I HAVE PLUGGED IN: - wireless keyboard/mouse usb dongle - webcam usb dongle - 2 hdmi cords *** Not sure if there'd be any issues if I had more plugged in. I use it for two screens outside of laptop screen and the other items mentioned. PROS: - This one works seamlessly between the two and fingers crossed, no issues! - Plus it was half the price. - Does not get hot - barely warm even (I am using it anywhere from 10-12hrs/day - with a few short breaks around 15-20mins) - Comes with the ability to plug in by USB or USB-C (important as my partner will use my workspace and previously used my USB-C adapter, so I wanted to make sure it worked well for him, too) - No issues with Display Link (I already had it installed before using on my personal laptop and it works without it on my work laptop) CON: So far, the only con is it is a little big on top of my desk, but I did purchase a laptop/adapter holder to mount on my wall that will take care of the space issue.

Has a little latency withy mouse keyboard

Great customer service. I had the dock for a while when I got a new Win 11 laptop. When the dock didnt work to changeover between computers, customer support worked with me, finally verifying that it wasn't working properly. They promptly replaced the dock and it works perfectly, running 2 monitors, external cam, mike, keyboard and mouse.

Initial impression: very good! First, the Quick Start Guide is well written and clear. It has multiple languages and the English is very clear. The needed driver is easy to find and installed on a Win 11 laptop without a hitch. No further configuration was needed; it was plug-and-play after that! I used the wired Ethernet port and immediately had a gigabit connection. I ran a Speed Test and got 580 Mb/s down and 22.1 Mb/s up. (I'm only paying for 400Mb service!) I attached the mouse to the Plugable UD-3900H and saw no latency. I connected two displays and had 3 desktops running simultaneously and all smooth (native laptop display, large screen TV via HDMI and another desktop monitor via HDMI (using the supplied DVI to HDMI convertor). This will be used at church for multimedia displays on Sunday. I will report on the analog audio then. I saw some reviews that had device failures after a few months. I will post again when we have some use on the Plugable dock. 01JUN2025: First follow up. We did try the analog audio; it works well and is clear. No delay. We moved to a USB2 connection to the Mackie ProFX12 audio mixing panel. Bidirectional, digital audio works without delay. (Mackie note: Use the Loud driver, version 6.62! If you use the older ver 6.58, you will not get bidirectional, digital audio. This is a Mackie issue, not Pluggable.) Also, for a three-display setup, you will need to fiddle with the Windows>Settings>System>Display configuration to get the desktop layout you like. Fortunately, this is a one-time hassle and the Pluggable connections are stable and repeatable after a new power-up of Windows.

My old laptop had a model specific docking station which took up a lot of desk space. I got a new laptop which did not fit the old docking station and I wanted something that would fit under my monitor riser. The Plugable USB 3.0 docking station fit the bill perfectly. I've been using it for about a month and it's just one of those things that work without having to give any thought to. My laptop, speakers and second monitor all plug in to it and work flawlessly.

Update 9-01-2022: My UD-3900H started acting up, and the USB 2.0 ports ceased to work. I contacted Plugable Support, and they shipped me a replacement UD-3900H, including all necessary cables and accessories, in exchange for my malfunctioning unit. The company also included a postage paid return envelope! Plugable customer service has prompted me to revised my review to give the product a 5-stars. I needed a basic, simple, and cost-effective laptop docking station for my home office. Since I have used laptop docking stations at work, I was generally familiar with how they generally work. The set up for this model is pretty simple, and I would have had it set up an running faster of the Quick Start Guide didn't have a bad link to the display driver. The correct page to download the driver is: plugable.com/pages/displaylink. After installing the display driver, the rest is just plug-and-play. It appears to have sufficient power to run my external hard drives and USB hub. Thus far, everything plugged into the unit has worked properly, including my USB speakers. I also like the adapters that come with the unit, so I can run dual monitors if I wish and it comes with a USB-C connector should I upgrade my laptop. So far, I am satisfied with this purchase.

Dans le cadre du travail à domicile ou du télétravail, utiliser un ordinateur de petite taille (15" ou inférieur) devient vite inconfortable, voire pénible, le raccorder à un écran secondaire est une solution, mais utiliser une station d'accueil m'a paru vite plus intéressant : on peut y adjoindre un clavier et une souris USB, un casque et un micro, y connecter un câble réseau Ethernet... J'ai opté pour le modèle UD-3900H pour sa connectivité étendue (en nombre de ports, de câbles et d'adaptateurs fournis). Je l'utilise avec 2 moniteurs 24" (un en HDMI, l'autre via l'adaptateur DVI-> HDMI fourni) en plus de celui des ordinateurs portables (un Dell HP7490 14" ou un Asus N750JV 17"). Dans cette configuration, l'affichage sur les moniteurs est limité à du Full-HD, ce qui correspond aux caractéristiques de mes moniteurs. J'utilise également un boitier externe ORICO HDD Docking Station (6619S3) pour des disques 3,5" et 2,5". Rien à signaler jusqu'à présent, très satisfait de mon achat.

手持ちのラップトップにHDMIのコネクターついているが WACOMのHDMI刺すとラップトップ用ファンが使えずドッキングステーションを購入することに 共通スタンダードになるつつあるTYPE-Cのドッキングステーション買ったけど WACOMが映らくない・・・反応しない USB３．０でも（TYPE-Cも可）コネクトできるこちらを発見！ （USBのドッキングステーション少ないってか、ほぼ見つからないので助かります） １万以上するので悩んでたところ中古もあったのでそちらを検討しコネクター２個なしだったが 必要ないので、中古購入した。 念の為TYPE-Cで繋いだがやはり映らず！ USBで繋いだらしっかり映った！ USB関連もスッキリ整理できたので買ってよかった。

Molto più di un hub di collegamento standard, le periferiche che ho collegato vengono riconosciute e funzionano come se le avessi collegate direttamente. Windows lo identifica con driver proprietari e non come molti altri device con driver universali. Amazon precisa e puntuale nel packaging e nella spedizione.
