Non-Programmable Thermostat for Home Conventional Single-Stage System, up to 1 Heat/ 1 Cool (with White Backlight)

I bought this, along with wire, to get rid of a wireless programable thermostat that was being problematic. Once I ran the new wiring, this thermostat was easy to install. The display is large and easy to see with the bright backlight. Temperature adjustment is easy to set and the controls are easy to operate. It operates my HVAC as it should and even looks decent. My only caution would be to make sure you set the switch on the back, gas or electric, to the appropriate position for your system.

This is very easy to install. It works like a charm. I love the fact that it uses AAA batteries. It looks very nice and is smaller than the one it replaced. Very affordable and was recommended by ChatGPT.

I was looking for a simple non-programmable thermostat to replace the programmable one we had that was malfunctioning. I first purchased a Honeywell brand non programmable one that looked a little sleeker than this one. However, it only had what seemed like a half degree differential and it was causing my furnace to short cycle (6-8 minutes). I ordered this thermostat in hopes that it would work as intended. It works exactly how it should and no more short cycling! This thermostat was easy to install by reading the manual. It looks great and the large display with green backlight is easy to read. I compared the temperature to an indoor thermometer and it was spot on. I appreciate the simplicity of the thermostat and I’m glad that I don’t have to fight with complicated programming. The wiring to my furnace only contains 3 wires and is unable to support modern smart thermostats. So if you need a simple thermostat or are replacing an older thermostat, this is an excellent option. My only complaint would be that it doesn’t come with a wall/back plate. But they do have one available to purchase separately and I will be ordering that next.

Control works perfectly. Installation was a little bit of a challange, as the included instructions do not tell you how to wire for an older 2 wire wall furnace, I had to search online till I figured it out. I like that I can program a temp, and that it works on a battery rather than house power, so if the power goes out, I still have control of my heat. For the price, this is fantastic, and it's easy to use, with a bright, clear display.

All features work great; adjustable temperature swing for cooling and separate for heating, and room temperature calibration. Thermostat is much more accurate, easy to use compared to my old round style not digital this one replaced. Highly recommend.

I replaced a 20 yr old central AC thermostat with the Heagstat Non-Programmable Thermostat. I have a 3 wires connected to the thermostat. Easy install and only used for AC. Very pleased with the Heagstat's large readable display. Used 2 AAA batteries for power. Highly recommend this thermostat and thanks to Amazon for the quick one day delivery!

My Mom is on the older side. First, I installed a programable thermostat at her house when those first came out. She couldn't understand it. So when wifi thermostats came out I installed one of those. She couldn't understand that one either. So I installed this one. This one she gets. The batteries are easy to get to. It was easy for me to install. The numbers are big and easy to see. It lights up. The base has holes in the normal spots. I didn't even have to put new holes on the wall. She loves it. I love it that I don't have go set it at the beginning of each season. This thing is a little bit bigger which is great as it helps cover up any holes from all the other thermostats. It's well built and well thought out.

Unlike many home heating/cooling thermostats this thermostat allows the user to set "response" or temperature differential points. This prevents continuous cycling short term cycling. Short term system cycling provides a near constant temperature, however, it can severely shorten the life of the control components. Service calls by HVAC professionals are not cheap and are always inconvenient. With this termostat my system cycles (turns on and off) approximately every two hours with an outdoor temperature of 32 degrees F (0 degrees C). Indoor temperature swings are approximately two to three degrees F between cycles. Note that this cycle may be increased or decreased depending on ones' preferences. My previous thermostat would cycle every 30 minutes and would maintain a near constant temperature within one degree F. Personallly I find a two to three temperature variation worth the slight discomfort when compared to a shortened service life of (expensive) control components. Instructions are complete and well written. Most homeowners and DIYers should be able to install this thermostat. VERY easy to use; NO extensive programming on this model.

This was an easy install and the thermostat is working great; both heating and cooling. Easy to see, easy to use.

I became so fed with my “smart thermostat” making me dumb I finally ditched/pulled it and rolled it down the driveway into traffic. Spending hours over years trying to have it give me the temperature my family wanted I turned to the giant to provide me a cheap and simple solution. This so far it has done the trick. It was easy to hook up after removing “smarty pants” and being careful to label the wires. Time will tell on reliability, but for the price point and performance so far I am grateful! Rob

Fonctionne bien mais il est écris nul part que ce thermostat fonctionne seulement en FARENHEIT, aucun réglage pour mettre en CELCIUS. Le reste tout est parfait.
