Subtitles: None It is regularly suggested that Steps are one of the hardest-working groups in pop and the Gold DVD provides further evidence that such an assertion is almost certainly true. Since crashing into the Top 20 towards the end of 1997 with the line-dancing inspired "5,6,7,8" (the "in" craze at the time) the group have been constantly churning out top-notch tunes. Their videos have been as equally colourful, energetic and fun (apart from the video to "When I Said Goodbye" which was shot in black and white). With their carefully choreographed dance moves, flashy locations and outrageous hairstyles and outfits, the videos have always been a top priority for the group. This collection ranges from the video for their more recent cover of "Chain Reaction" deceptively filmed in one continuous take, to the beach fun of "5,6,7,8" and are excellently matched to the style of each song. Admittedly some of the videos are rather cheesy, such as "Say You'll Be Mine", which is a pastiche of the group re-enacting scenes from recent Hollywood blockbusters, and the sleigh ride scene in "Heartbeat" (also the "bad hair" era for the female members of Steps). However the videos work best when a soap opera-style narrative is introduced, as with their flat-sitting escapades in the "Stomp" video, and the "Four Weddings and a Funeral" inspired video for their first number one single "Tragedy". On the DVD: This DVD is truly excellent value--literally bursting with extras, from a greatest-hits video medley, through to the single/album-cover interactive library. One member of the band concisely introduces each video, and there is an audio commentary by the group on selected videos (for "5,6,7,8", "Heartbeat", "Tragedy" and ยDeeper Shade f Blueย) and bonus material includes the group performing "Too Busy Thinking About My Baby" on ITV's "Motown Mania". The CD-ROM option allows even more extras, such as additional footage (look out for, and click on the Steps logo that appears on selected videos) and web-links. The disc also contains the software "PC Friendly DVD" making it even easier and fun to play the DVD on your home computer. However this collection has an annoying aspect; the numerous menus you need to pass through to access each of the videos individually. There are also no interactive options to guide you through the legendary dance moves -- John Galilee Review: Second Thought's - Bought this and the item arrived as a 'plain' DVD. Very unusual, which led me to believe that the item was a 'fake'! Most DVD's that are 'Kosher' have a 'copyright' number associated with the DVD stamped on the DVD itself and is 'by law' necessary to prove copyright authenticity. Gave the seller a 'very bad' review because of this. However, fair is fair. Seller was upset. So, I took the item into HMV and the sales staff told me that (very rare), however, it is possible the manufacturer DID NOT stamp the item, and to be fair the item (the DVD) works perfectly, it's just that a plain DVD usually alerts you to the fact the item is a fake. If HMV are NOT SURE, then to be fair to the seller neither am I! I wouldn't like to 'ruin 'a reputation on the basis of a possible mistake, so rather than be negative about this seller and his item, I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt. For the money an excellent bargain. However, the manufacturers NEED to explain the discrepancy as to WHY their is no lettering or image on their DVD's. Primary review retracted after advice from HMV, and I'm willing to accept HMV's opinion. So on that basis, yes I would recommend this item however, I strongly would advice the manufacturers to get their act together, otherwise this seller is being wrongly accused of selling 'fakes' (FOR ALL THE RIGHT REASONS) however, it would appear that this seller is in fact genuine. It's the manufacturers whom are responsible. FIRST IMPRESSIONS always count, and for that reason a genuine DVD MUST CARRY IT'S IDENTIFYING MARKS! A[art from that I have learned a great deal about copyright law! Re-evauated my review. Recommended! ON HMV's OPINION. Review: FANTASTIC DVD!!! - This DVD is brilliant!!!! it contains all there videos but 1=Words are not enough!! It has little behind the scenes, making of's,bloopers, alternative video for one for sorrow,TV Motown performance and select videos have commentary which is rather funny!!!! It has a discography and more it is a highly recommenced DVD if you love steps!

Love their videos
I'm from the US so until I started purchasing from the UK store I did not know who STEPS was or their style of music.I love the dvd of their videos.I always buy most of my music dvds from Amazon Uk,because honestly, the Uk has a better selection of the kind of music videos that I like.

Great play, decent condition
As a child I grew up around bands like; Steps, S Club 7 etc, but my favourite pop band as a child was Steps, it was the first band that I can say I liked all of their songs-some more than others. This would've gotten 5 stars, but because of the condition I gave it a 4. The case was a tiny bit grubby and the disc inside is quite confusing, because the top of the disc looks like it's the bottom, but the top is full of scratches and I almost panicked thinking the top was the bottom and that it wouldn't play properly (-If you've read review on the Jungle Book DVD fiasco, you'll understand why). You can definitely see it's had some use, BUT, the bottom of the disc was surprisingly clear and clean and when I went to play the DVD it had NO jumps whatsoever which delighted me to no end! Perhaps only 4 stars is a little harsh, because it really is very good quality play for a used copy-because there was no way I was going to pay full price for something that I would only watch every now and then. But in my opinion, 5 stars should be reserved for brand new editions, not used ones. If anyone is a fan of pop music especially from the 90's or just a lover or Steps, then I'd highly suggest buying this DVD because when I first had this programme it was on VHS so I couldn't choose to just watch the music videos and skip the commentary, but now I can. If you've never heard songs from this band, I'd suggest listening to them on YouTube first before making a purchase because this DVD-for me-is quite hard to find, so I'd only buy it if you're sure that you're going to enjoy it. This DVD has all of their greatest hits-hence the title name-and many of them are very good. All the songs and dance routines look fun and are easy to dance along too if you're looking to work out or give to children.
