Fridja f1200 Clothes Steamer, 2200W, 35-Second Heat-Up, Dual Steam, 3L

Bought this because I have always wanted a proper clothes steamer and after reading that steaming helps to control clothes moths 🤢 by killing eggs and larvae, I treated myself to this after reading a review on a blog online somewhere. Handheld steamers just can't compare with a proper one like this, don't even waste your money on one. This is the real deal, the creases melt out of clothes and the steam also provides some cleaning benefit. Brilliant for refreshing clothing that is dry-clean only, I use it on woollens, silks etc without any problems. It's not as bulky as you'd imagine, the main unit is relatively compact and sits off in a corner with minimal impact on floor space, and the wheels make it easy to move around. Some reviews mention leaking and I would say this has been minimal and water is part and parcel of having a steamer. It's simple to set up and use, and the white colour looks nicer around the house than typical black plastic. Would say this is good value for money, it's seen a lot of use already. Also if you absolutely hate ironing you will probably love using this.

First time I used it, very good. There on after, spluttery and there is no “pause” like a hand held steamer. So while you are putting next item on a hanger, steam is pouring out of it. Pouring down your walls. Base is unstable on carpets. So wish I’d chosen another make! Update - I contacted Amazon because not only did I have the issue with constant spluttering and interrupted steaming, the plug was getting red hot and the prongs burnt my hand when I unplugged it. They arranged for it to be sent off for repair. The repair partner marked it as a safety issue and didn’t repair it. So Amazon refunded me. Off to choose a well known brand now with better reviews.

I am very pleased with this item. Really does what its suppoed to, and just as described by manufacturer. When I assembled it initially it wasnt working. With just 2 emails and a couple of photos, the Fridja help team quickly advised me (politely) that I had installed the water tank upside down. All withing about 10 minutes the problem was solved and I was steaming away to my hearts content. I can give this item a 'thumbs up' and a big thank you for after care.

It's a good, sturdy, machine built to a good spec and that's what I was hoping for after having bought a cheaper one previously that died right after the year's guarantee was up......funny that In any event, it has a good strong flow of steam which is exactly what you need to whip through your clothes quickly and efficiently. The big water tank means less filling up, which is another positive. However, I'm knocking a star off because I think the location of the on / off switches is awkward and silly and because there's no indicator light either....not that you'd be able to see it anyway as they've put the switches on the back, near the floor!

Not sure about this. It’s ok for thin and delicate clothes, but not denim or heavy cotton. It always has an air bubble that is annoying and can’t seem to get rid off. It’s now a clothes horse in the corner which is a shame

I did a lot of research before purchasing and found that the spec of this steamer compared to the price was the best of the bunch. I am not disappointed, it has a robust build and good quality materials. The steam output is strong and enough to remove the toughest of creases. Its design is compact, so easy to store and comes with wheels which not many steamers have. I never thought I’d say this but I actually enjoy ironing now, the speed in which I get through it along with the process and result is strangely satisfying 😂

Hose much too short. With the unit on the floor right next to the bed I can reach about 50% of a double duvet :( Cord length is way too short. It definitely pumps out steam well, but handle gets very hot, room fills with steam much worse than an iron. I can see that it would work for a jacket, or something that is hard to iron, but for shirts it's much quicker to get the ironing board out, do a proper job on your shirts, they will look much better. On shirts, it's definitely much quicker and easier to iron them. So don't buy if you think it will be better specifically for shirts. If you have a pile of shirts to do, forget it. You'll be there all day with this, and sweating buckets by the time you've finished. How you are supposed to use it on a curtain or something, with the too short pipe and cable... you would need to stand the thing on a chair. You'd have hot water everywhere, dangerous.

Just received it and start steaming can’t stop. Took for professional use , 4-5 times a week for many garments. Let’s see how it will work but my expectations are high. What I see now - steam is strong, I like it more than other pro steamer that cost double of the price. The material is strong as well! As for now, very happy. Took 2 years guaranty too just in case.
