Calls every hour unless you turn that off. But I drink some water every time it calls an hour. It has a button to push to hear the current time. To turn off the hourly notice you push the first of the time setting buttons. I do not have any trouble differentiating it from my Medical Guardian. I have no relationship with time. This helps me be on time.

It was a Blessing for these devices it will not give sight to the blind but it sure can keep him punctual @ all times.

My mom lost her vision and although these work great i only gave 4 stars because she accidentally pressed the buttons on the back and turned the alarms on and couldn’t turn them off. Ended up being very frustrating frequently but it was user error. Needs a way to lock the controls or cover those back buttons

The smaller clock will not stay on the set time. The larger clock works, but is difficult for my mother to hear. Basically worthless for my 92 year old mother.

These are okay but the buttons are so small and the directions are not super easy and it's a very involved process to set the time and to set the timers and unless you keep the instructions with you you will never remember how to set it or reset it and one of ours kept going off in the middle of the night and at that point you can't just press a button to make it stop and we had to destroy one of them to make it just shut up

I can now know the time in the middle of the night. I accidentally turned the alarm function on. To turn it off, hit the hour button. That’s a note to self. It’s light weight and if you need this sort of product and don’t want to pay tons of money, this should be a good choice.
