This rear view mirror camera has worked really well so far. It comes with several bungee-type rubber pieces that you can use to secure it right over your existing rearview mirror, so it was really easy to put up. The cord can be tucked into the "seams" (where the cloth areas meet harder plastic-type areas, usually) along the top and sides of the inside of the car, and was fairly easy to do as well. You can feed the wire for the back camera the same way to the back of the car, and then mount the rear camera somewhere in the back. I found that it was best to mount it on the ceiling rather than on the liftgate itself (in our minivan), as the opening and slamming shut of the liftgate can jolt the camera and move it or eventually make it fall down.I did find that the bracket on the rear camera seemed a bit crooked, so I had to pad under the bracket on one side to make the camera straighter. I used some "alien" mounting tape, and that has been holding really well. You do need to tighten some screws on the rear camera once you have it angled how you want it (so that it doesn't shift).You can use this as a continuous rear view camera if you want, which is what we are doing and was the reason we purchased this.It has worked really well so far. I will say that the rear camera does make objects seem further than they actually are (more so than, say, a side mirror). And the quality isn't great at night. But otherwise it's been good.I've found the voice control to be handy, and it works much better than I had anticipated (for example, you can switch between the rear view and the front view just by saying "Show front camera" and "Show rear camera." The one downside I've seen so far is that you can't connect wirelessly to download videos (as far as I can tell). We have been interested in a couple of videos from the car so far, and we just ended up recording a video of the video with our phones (as you can play the videos right on the rearview mirror camera screen). That has worked ok, but if we need better quality then we'd probably take out the SD card and download it manually.Also, the instructions said that you need an SD card and that one is not included. However, one WAS included with our camera, so we didn't end up needing to get a separate one.Overall, we've been really happy with this, especially for the price.

I purchased a Veement Mirror Cam back in 2025 and I really liked it. Everything worked great...until it didn't. The rear cam started acting funny until its plug snapped off the PCB board and fell into camera body. I immediately contacted Veement about this, and here is where their company takes it to the next level. They reviewed my problem and despite being outside the 1-year warranty they agreed to replace the broken cam with a brand new one. The replacement arrived just a few days later and works perfectly! I am extremely happy with the mirror cam as well as the company itself.

Im super impressed with this, even though it has a few slights against it I'm still giving it 5 stars. Lets start by saying it does everything you want it to do, near perfectly, just go ahead and buy it especially it its on sale.The good:The video quality is amazing, large enough storage with interchangeable micro sd card, long wires for setting rear view camera, fast and responsive touchscreen, sleek design with reflective glass for when the screen is off, adjustable cameras for front and back angles, bands for attaching the screen are strong and I had no issues, comes with a nice too to help with stuffing the wires into the seams of your paneling and weather stripping.The Bad:G sensor for when you get into an accident is way too sensitive even when on the lowest sensitivity setting and sets itself on every bump you hit or corner taken. Voice controls rarely work but are nice when they do.All in all just buy the dang thing, you'll be satisfied and not regret it. It took me 20 mins to set everything up and hide the wires.

The front forward camera has decent angle. The only issue was the rear view camera. There are no options or settings that allow the image to be flipped upside down or left or right. It makes using it as a rear view for cargo vans useless.The product is easy to set up and straightforward.

I purchased this item because after spending too much time slogging through listings, it appeared to be the only option available to do what i need. I have a '94 F150 and i wanted to have both a reverse camera and a dashcam. But my first and most important priority, being as my truck sits high, is i do not want to back over any children, pets, or bicycles.Why this appears to be my only option, IDK. Dashcams exist. Rearview cameras exist. Dual channel 12V monitors exist. I just want a reasonable combination of the three. But most the options are either this one, or a windshield mounted camera that looks in both directions. Which the latter doesn't help for things directly behind my rear bumper.Anyway the problem is, i can't see this in daylight. I think this owes largely to it trying to be simultaneously monitor and mirror, such that depending on the angle of glare i can't tell whether i am looking at a camera or a reflection. Most often it looks like a blurry combination of both.Perhaps this isn't such a problem if you have a sedan and/or your mirror sits back further from the windshield. Or maybe things are better in the $250 range, with presumably higher quality displays. It doesn't matter for my circumstances because in terms of not destroying anything or killing someone, it is worse than nothing.Please believe i tried. I wanted this to work. I turned brightness all the way up, tilted the mirror so it wouldn't catch as much glare from above, etc.. The only thing i didn't try is gluing a sun shield to it, because i need them to take this thing back, but some nondestructive experimentation indicates it might be helpful. Still doesn't matter since there's no way i can trust this thing under varying lighting circumstances.Sad. Even sadder because i read the reviews and selected this specific item because of the praise for its display clarity. Either i got a defective one, or it works WAY better in vehicles other than old F150s, or popular standards and expectations are historically low, or some folk are being less than truthful.

The video quality is super clear, even at night. It looks great on my rearview mirror and was pretty easy to set up. Definitely makes me feel a lot safer driving. Good value for money!

I have an older car and it has no backup camera. This simply strapped onto the existing mirror with provided clips and held in place. You have to take your time and route the power cord in the head liner down the door posts and under the front of the car to where the 12V adapter is located. Thats where you will want to take your time to route the cable and than i used zip ties to lock it in place out of the way from my feet and seeing the cord. That will give you the mirror and dash cam. To get the backup mirror you have to repeat the runnign of the wire from the mirror around the head liner to the back of the car so through the truck too. At the back you screw the camera into the plate holder and where it gets tricky os that you have to run the other wire from the camera to your backup light. When the backup light gets power from being put in reverse it flips on the backup camera on the mirror. Depending on your car and its layout it can take you an hour or more to do this cleanly. it took me about an hour start to finish. This is a low cost solution to a bigger issue with my older car. At lease now i can see while backing up and I have a dash cam. If you are handy in any way, this is a good thing

I have wanted a dash cam for some time. I didn't need a lot of bells and whistles, so when I saw this cam at a really good sale price, with decent reviews, I decided to take a chance. It arrived well packaged, with no damage that I could see initially.The installations instructions are VERY basic, and there is a lot of trial and error to install. The first thing I noticed was, even with the camera fully extended to the side, the dash cam did not completely cover my car mirror. It was smaller in width, leaving a good 1-1.5 inches of the car mirror exposed. This results in not having as wide a view with the dash cam mirror, as compared to my original car mirror. This is in a compact car, so I wonder how bad it would be in a larger car. Having a smaller field of view is not a good thing. It is VERY noticeable when I look out of the back using the cam mirror. This is a huge negative!The second thing I noticed was after attaching it to my mirror, I tested it to see the view from the camera. It was actually pointing up toward the sky. I removed it, and looked at the lens to see if it was adjustable (it didn't say anything about adjustments in the instructions). It didn't look like it was at first, and I was about to give up and re-package it to send it back. Just to be sure, I tired moving the lens. After putting more force on it than I was comfortable with, it moved! It is adjustable, but it takes quite a bit of force to move it. That's good and bad. It shouldn't move when hitting bumps etc., but it is very hard to make the initial adjustment. If you have it on the mirror (best place to insure it is pointed in the right direction), every time you try to move the lens, the whole mirror moves. After getting frustrated, I removed the cam, and adjusted the lens off the mirror. Then I would hold the cam in place on the mirror, and see if it was pointing where I wanted it. I then pulled it off and adjusted some more, and did this over and over until I got it mostly where I wanted it. Because it is so tight, every time I wanted to make a minor adjustment, it took so much force to move that by the time it moved, it went too far. This actually took the most time during installation.I also noticed the brackets that hold the straps that go behind the mirror to hold the cam on, were loose. I don't know if they are supposed to be like that, or if that is a defect. I wish they would offer a replacement bracket, so you wouldn't need to use your old mirror or the straps. I have seen some aftermarket ones, but you need to access the screw holes on the back of the cam to attach, and I'm not sure this cam has the screw holes behind the rubber pads or not. I didn't want to pull the pads off to see. If anyone knows if this cam can be converted to use by itself, I would appreciate a heads up.Running the power wire was not too bad. The biggest problem I had was the headliner along the windshield had a gap that was too large, and the wire kept falling out. I had to use some backer rod, (for large gaps before caulking), to fill it in and hold it in place. I did not wire this to use when parked. I have it plugged into a cigarette lighter with an on/off switch (my car powers the lighter socket even when the car is off).I can't comment on the backup camera. Either installation or on how well it works. Currently, I have no plans to install or use that function.The cam does come with a micro SD card already installed and formatted. It is on the smaller side at 32GB, so I would recommend you replace it with one with more memory. Be sure to use a high speed card that is designed to be overwritten constantly.The menu is pretty straightforward, you just have to get used to the icons and what they mean. You have to set the date and time manually, and I did not see an option for daylight saving time. I assume you have to reset the time twice a year. Since the cam is not powered when the car is off, I'm not sure if the time will hold, or if it does, for how long. I will try to remember to update this review after getting a better idea. You can also set the recording feature to record segments of 1, 2 or 3 minutes duration. I set it at 3 minutes so I don't have as many files to go through if I need to find a specific event.Now comes the usage part of the review. At first I was confused, and the front view from the camera was superimposed over the mirror portion. That made it very hard to use the mirror to see out of the back. After fooling with the cam, and reading the instructions from cover to cover (it's just a pamphlet to no big deal), I found there is a power switch on the bottom of the cam. I had found it, but though it would turn the cam off and it wouldn't record. If you press the power button once, quickly, it turns off the display, but still records. If you long press the button, it turns it off. Unfortunately, there is no way to know it is still recording. There is no indicator to tell you this UNLESS the display is on. There should be a small icon in a corner somewhere to tell you it is recording when it is in mirror mode with no display.It's once you get on the road that the biggest problem with this cam appears. When you look into the mirror/cam when the car is in motion, it vibrates like crazy. This is at any speed, even on a smooth road. Only when at a stop is it stable. It is not a huge vibration, but is still very noticeable. If you are susceptible, it would easily give you a headache, or make you queasy.The fact that this cam is smaller than the car mirror, and it vibrates excessively, is making me consider returning it. I will give it a week or so to see if I can adjust to it or not. I suspect the vibration could be eliminated if you could attach a bracket to it and eliminate the car mirror. I think it is the combination of the two that results in the vibration. The cam itself seems to work just fine, but it needs improvements to make it worthwhile.
