So much better than standard disconnects!
I have installed several of the rotary disconnects for batteries over the years and I have to say that this one feels substantially more solid than the usual suspects. The heft and ease of rotating the switch is a significant upgrade than the others. I also saved some time and work by not having to install a volt meter somewhere inside the travel trailer (usually I put them by the command center). Granted, it is outside and I would need to go out to check it but it combines two functions into one unit, and no new holes inside my trailer's interior is required. What I did not realize is that the voltmeter stays on all of the time. As others have noted, it draws VERY little power to do so. But if you are looking to absolutely have zero parasitic draws on your battery for extended storage, this may not be the unit you're looking for. Or, simply don't connect the negative post to your battery (you lose the voltmeter display as a result).

Works perfect. Love the voltage display! Many mounting options. Great price. Had to cut the cover 4 screws off to flush mount because the screws were too long.

Trouble
It was definitely a pain in the butt to install on the camper side and had to add extra wire and bolts and double side tape to install bolts aren't long enough to install anywhere on it confusing diagram on instructions also

Worked great to stop the parasitic drain on my mower!
I bought this battery shut off switch to use on my Ferris zero turn mower. I bought the mower used and it has a 37 hp fuel injected Briggs & Stratton engine. My battery would slowly drain over the course of a week to the point that it wouldn’t quite start next time I needed to mow. After installing the switch and isolating, the battery, all I have to do is turn the switch on and my mower fires right up! Much better than replacing the entire engine wiring harness to get rid of the parasitic drain!

Gasket included broke and didn't come with smaller screws for mounting it without the plastic box backing but besides that it looks okay and works.

Very nice switch
Best switches I have ever used. They are built like a tank. Very accurate reading of voltage as well. I have purchased 4 now. Great product
