Just to be clear if i purchase 2 pairs of 2 tons will it hold a 8 ton truck ?

It says that they are "2 tons", and also "4,000-pound capacity total (when used together) ". So that means they have a 1 ton capacity, each, and two pairs will support 4 tons. Also note that often times what is described as an "8 ton truck" is a truck that has an 8 tons load carrying capacity, not a truck that weighs 8 tons when empty. I'm not an expert at trucks in that weight range, it is possible your curb weight, (the empty weight,) is either more or less than the capacity of the truck, so I really don't know how much it actually weighs when are jacking it up to work on it... And note that the front vs rear weight axle weights will be substantially different: a truck with an 8 ton load limit will have most of the weight on the front axle when it is empty.

whats the max height for 6 tons?

Common tonnages seem to have common height ranges. Most of these 6 ton online options have a range of 15.5"-23.5" give or take a 16th or 10th, whatever you're into. Just like the 3 ton, they run 11"-17ish" Same for jack stands in the field, they are typically similar in area and height, with regard to weight rating.
