Exactly what I needed - mower fixed

Replacement for old one, which snapped, it must be some years old and will eventually snap as it is permanently under tension from the spring which fits in u bend of the bar. Fitting a bit fiddly but not a long job and fits perfectly.My only one angst is the bar does not come with the securing/locking washers which have to also be ordered, at extra cost. The old washers can't be re-fitted once removed from the old one. So you have to make an additional order for the washers to get the bar to stay in place :( unless you happen to have ones that fit hanging around. They need to put 'SECURING WASHERS NOT SUPPLIED' on this item, loud and clear, on the description

My lawn mower is now nearly 20yrs old but still running fine. Unfortunately the cutting height adjusting bar snapped. This happend about 10years ago and cost a lot of money to be replaced at a local lawnmower service centre. I thought I'd have a go at replacing it myself or wright-off the mower.It took a while to suss out but I managed to do the repair and it's working better than ever. I think the previous replacement part wasn't the correct one and this is. This came at great price and the delivery was acceptable and it saved a packet on repair bills. RESULT!

Arrived in good time! Sadly did not come with two new Hayter spire clips, (which were needed to refit the connecting Rod!) Easy to fit once I had sourced the new clips!This should have been made clear on the web site!

part worked fine should have come with star washer?

An exact replacement of the original that fitted perfectly and allowed the mower height adjustment to function correctly.

Fits nicely and easy to install. The addition of a new star washer would have been a nice touch, but not necessary.Only minor gripe is that the marker doesn't line up with the markings on my mower, despite it being the correct model for this product.
