This is a great lens. I had a hard time getting my hands on one. They sold out fast. Given the quality and versatility, it’s an amazing value. I have paid a lot more for a lens this good. The autofocus is fast and excellent. The color is partly controlled here and partly on the camera, but I use this for an online oil painting class (Evolve) and the colors are perfect. For my purposes, they absolutely need to be. It brings in a lot of light, expected given the size of the aperture, which makes it great for low light photography as well as for portraits. It’s great at softly blurring the background. It’s easy to attach, easy to use. It’s pretty small and very lightweight. Honestly, it’s a perfect lens.

If you shoot APS-C and need a fantastic portrait lens, the Meike 55mm F1.4 AF is a winner. It's lightweight and compact with a surprisingly solid build. Optically, it's brilliant: creamy f/1.4 bokeh and great sharpness, especially in the center. The autofocus is quick and reliable for stills, handling eye detection well. For the price, this lens punches way above its weight. A must-have for beautiful portraits!

Great great value for the money. I use this alongside lenses that cost 10x more than it did. It's actually the cheapest lens I have that still works well with Sony autofocus, and maybe works better with the auto focus than Sigma Art lenses (my favorite lenses). The stepper motors are a bit noisier than other lenses, but not so loud that it actually matters. If you need a 55mm that gets stupid creamy backgrounds, look no further than this.

I'm thoroughly impressed with this lens. The build quality is solid, and the focus is smooth and precise. The wide aperture allows for beautiful bokeh and excellent low-light performance. The image quality is sharp, with vibrant colors and good contrast. It's a fantastic addition to my camera kit without breaking the bank. I highly recommend it to any photography enthusiast!

love this lens, my autofocus doesn't really work but I don't mind that. Outside of that though the image quality is amazing!

Bought this for my SO for Sony ZV-E10. She loves it. Fast auto focus. Sharp image. Colors are great. She likes it more than her Sony SEL50 1.8 lens. We will definitely be buying more products from this brand

I'm only a few months into photography and wanted to pick up a lens to short portrait type shots. Took a bunch of family over the weekend but don't want to post people shots on Amazon so animals and objects you get! Debated between the Sigma 56 and this lens. Got this lens on Black Friday sale and seems to be a great value! Can be very sharp, great low light performance, incredible background separation wide open and still pretty sharp! Autofocus has to hunt a bit in low light but besides that no complaints.

Ich habe das Meike 55mm F1.4 Standard Aperture Objektiv für meine Sony A6600 gekauft und bin wirklich beeindruckt von der Bildqualität. Besonders bei Porträtaufnahmen schafft es das Objektiv, einen schönen Bokeh-Effekt zu erzeugen, der die Modelle wunderbar hervorhebt. Selbst in dunkleren Umgebungen liefert es scharfe und detailreiche Fotos, was für mich als Hobbyfotografin ein großer Vorteil ist. Der Autofokus funktioniert reibungslos und schnell, was das Aufnehmen von Momentaufnahmen erleichtert. Die Verarbeitung des Objektivs wirkt solide und das Design gefällt mir persönlich sehr gut. Der Micro-USB-Anschluss zur Firmware-Aktualisierung ist ein praktisches Feature, das ich bisher bei anderen Objektiven vermisst habe. Allerdings gibt es auch einige Punkte, die ich als nachteilig empfinde. Erstens finde ich, dass das Objektiv bei maximaler Blendenöffnung von f/1.4 ein wenig anfällig für chromatische Aberration ist. In einigen Aufnahmen treten leichte Farbsäume auf, die ich in der Nachbearbeitung korrigieren musste. Zweitens hätte ich mir gewünscht, dass das Objektiv etwas leichter ist, da ich es oft längere Zeit halte, und da merkt man das Gewicht. Insgesamt bin ich mit meinem Kauf sehr zufrieden. Das Meike 55mm F1.4 ist ein großartiges Objektiv für Porträtaufnahmen und liefert eine hervorragende Leistung zu einem vernünftigen Preis. Ich kann es jedem empfehlen, der in die Fotografie mit Sony E-Mount-Kameras einsteigen möchte

Me gustó mucho, todo bien cuidado, y ajustado para proteger el lente. El autoemfoque en algunas tomas o formas de disparo, como que parpadea. Pero de ahí en fuera es bueno, rápido y a buen precio ☺️

Das Meike 55mm F1.4 Objektiv ist in Gebrauch an einer Sony FX30 und ich bin insgesamt zufrieden mit der Leistung. Auch in lichtschwachen Umgebungen liefert es ab. Der Autofokus arbeitet recht leise und flott. Die Verarbeitung wirkt solide, auch wenn manche Kunststoffteile wie die Gegenlichtblende etwas robuster sein könnten. Praktisch ist der integrierte USB-C-Anschluss am Mount, über den Firmware-Updates direkt aufgespielt werden können. Ein kleines Manko ist jedoch die anfällige Blendenöffnung: Bei f/1.4 kommt es manchmal zu leichten Farbsäumen (chromatischen Aberrationen). Da muss man drauf achten. Trotz der lichtstarken f/1.4-Blende ist das Objektiv mit rund 290g recht leicht, was längere Einsätze angenehmer macht. Für Einsteiger oder Leute, die vom Kit-Objektiv auf eine lichtstarke Festbrennweite umsteigen möchten, bietet das Meike 55mm eine gute und preiswerte Option und Alternative.
