Picked this bad boy up as a soon needed replacement for my original locking oval biner (See pic of new replacement and existing one). This locking oval helped complete my two sets of Quickdraw anchors (with the three-pack of DMM's locking ovals; blue, green, red) for my sport climbing adventures. Purchased this biner about a year and half ago and still got some life left in them. A little bit of tidbit information about its additional strengths: Load capacity in the longitudinal direction = 27kN Load capacity in the cross direction = 12 kN Load capacity in the longitudinal direction with open gate = 7kN I used to use the regular biners that came with the original quickdraws for top rope, but soon found out they wore through very fast (about a year). This biner lasts and last for multiple outings at the crag. Climb on!
