Great tool
Was easy to use and works great. We had trouble using our headphones with the new sound bar on some channels and now we can do both on all channels!

Works great and easy to setup.
I used the splitter to connect the optical output on an LG TV to a Bose 700 soundbar and a device that allows one to receive sound from the TV directly to hearing aids, This allows people not wearing hearing aids to control the sound from the sound bar at a level they want while allowing the person with hearing aids to indendently control the sound to the hearing aid. it was easy to setup too.

Easy with simple instructions
This was wonderful. With many EASY instructions for installation for those of us less technically advanced. Works just fine at a very nice price point.

The sound output is very good.
4 stars because I plugged in 2 opticals and one didn't work then I switched them and it did. It may have been me or the item, don't know which but it bothered me. In any case it sounds great so it is working well on both outputs after I did the switch.

Connecting two hearing aids to a tv.
It was very easy to install. My wife and I have different manufactures of hearing aids, and now we can both can listen to tv, and adjust the sound separately. Also if another person is in the room they can still hear the tv.

I needed a TOSLINK splitter to be able to connect both my Bose Cinemate II sound system as well as my Sennheiser RS175 headphones to my Sony Bravia TV. I was using the Sony headphone output for the RS175, but somehow got dropouts as of recently and was no longer satisfied with the sound. After reading the reviews and that this specific (passive) splitter might not work, I was a bit concerned. However, I can gladly report that it works fine and was very easy to install. Plugging the cables in might take a bit more effort than usual, but they sit tight, and the sound quality on my headphones is now much better. I ordered a 2m BlueRigger TOSLINK cable at the same time and am very happy. Thank God I did not to have to buy a powered one, as I am running out of sockets. ;-) Can recommend. Price seems to be on the lower end compared to the competition.
